...shares in SISU, judging by his continual 'DO NOT CRITICISE THE CLUB' attitude/stance to any anti-SISU comments, or criticsm of the club.

(probably got told to get them by the THREE WISE MONKEYS who were the SISU-backers on the CET forum...LOL! )

You're making yourself look a little silly this morning, with your constant critiscm of people like Torchy. People including Eakin are allowed an opinion. The BBC however are not.

He constantly backs SISU regardless of the situation...or do you think he gives a balanced view????

As for Torchy, no mention of him here, so why the comment....sorry if I have upset you by having some banter on here (one of the points of a forum, I was led to believe)...are you his mate/family/guardian angel or something?????

He doesn't back SISU in my opinion. He does not criticise them granted, but as I say the BBC are not allowed an opinion.

Have you ever heard the show????

Eakin doesn't back/support SISU????

You having milk on your cornflakes or something a little stronger, LuLu???

If anyone goes on and criticises the club, he'll argue them down...he even tried to cover up the West Ham ticket fiasco!!!

I too am becoming a little tired of sniping and the constant back biting by some members on here.

Some of you are like a dog with a bone.

I think some of you need reigning in...

He asks questions to gain answers. Of course he will argue them down as by doing this the caller, then puts in more of their own opinion.

Apologies for criticisng the pro-SISU stance of some members of the taxpayer funded local radio station that we listen to.

From afar it may seem like 'back biting'...but seeing it week in, week out makes you see the situation in a different light shall we say.

I was referring to your incessant posting around the place and bickering with other members.

Not about someone's right to post their view, but the fact that you 'couldn't let it lie'.

I don't care if you're pro/anti SISU/AT/Hoff/Elliott, just keep the discussions on track and appropriate.

This is a discussion board not your blog.

As a host taking calls, I'd have thought a large part of his role is to purposely play devil's advocate. When most if not all the calls are criticising SISU, if he doesn't say 'yes, but...' surely there's not much discussion to be had, merely a broadcast sounding board for people's gripes which isn't really much of a show.

He may actually believe in the standpoint of course, I only really listen to a handful of callers after each match so I'm not all that familiar with the presenters. You need someone to disagree though, otherwise nobody would bother phoning in.

Yes he did and I found it quite enbarrassing that he continually ignored facts pointed out to him.

The advantage that Eakin has, much like Dent, is that he's an outsider who is able to see our situation a lot more objectively than most. He's not on the wind-up, and I'm sure that he cares about the club after a decade of coverage.

But when Dave Moron of Spon End calls up to say "SISU haven't signed anyone", do you really expect Eakin to just nod and agree instead of pointing out the basic untruth of the statement? I'm fairly certain that if there were callers saying "SISU are the most benevolent flawless owners in football" (the mythical 'SISU Lover'), then Eakin would be just as quick to point out the criticisms of ownership.

Trouble is people call making sensationalist/slanderous comments which arent factual like "sisu are crooks", and as a member of the bbc eakin has absolutely no choice but to point out these arent "facts" that people are making out.

Think he generally gives a balanced and well considered view and doesnt follow the schizophrenic "were going down/challenging for promotion/sisu are evil" views which vary on a weekly basis.

Aparantly this lack of "passion" means he doesnt give a shit about the club

The club website advertised west ham tickets available upto 3pm Brighton game saturday so some people decided to get their ticket before the match, but oh no they had sent the tickets back by then.
Eakin was told of this and just dismissed this and restated the club statement

That is fact and an a shameful disregard to the caller and the fans

what neutral veiw is it that restates the clubs statement?

My line you're using there!

Always thought he had a suspicious amount of man-love for Coleman though.

Talking of the CET forum, though not a regular, who was that guy who always said "IMHO" on there?

I think that's georgehudson here, who seems to also have the 'odd' way of adding speech marks 'where' they're not really 'required'.

Think it may have been you, torch, and Half-time Orange, though had to desist as apparently it was racist because apparently HTO was black?

With his username I'd always assumed it was Joe Elliot.
