Love his passion on commentary, think he's gotten way better in recent years. Thing that winds me up is the air time he gives to the bedwetters post game, or the completely inane ones that call for Robins' head after a win. They're clearly wums so why give them the air time? He also never ever ever criticises a ref or admits that they get things wrong. But other than that, he's great!
He was invested in Wasps too.
His commentary for the goals yesterday was pretty good

Spoke to him on the train to Huddersfield away in 2021 (where he told me BBC CWR pool car was in the garage and they booked him a train with 4 changes as a substitute) and he was a gent …..asked what I thought to the season and explained how it was hard to project excitement with all the issues in the last 15 years and how he had fallen in love with the City and from 2018 onwards, it has been the finest time of his broadcasting career commentating on the Sky Blues. I asked him if he got to Tranmere games much and he said very rarely with CCFC commitments, so if that doesn’t prove he’s invested, he didn’t know what will.
Personally I think I his commentary of the goals at the league 2 play off final was phenomenal. I think mixing names up adds to the unintentional humour of the commentary. Mixing up Tom Bayliss with Bakayoko will always go down as one of his finest moments.
