Sadly left. What happened to Martin Winch?
What happened to Martin Winch?
Is Wembley not home??Absolute legend and a huge part of the whole city supporting experience since relegation from the Prem. We take the mick about his mistakes and quirks but anyone who listens to other teams commentary when forced to by the dodgy fire stick knows just how lucky we are and how much he sticks out head and shoulders above other local radio commentators.
Definitely needs a song on Friday at what’s his last home game regardless.
Is Wembley not home??
Yeah that’s what it looks like to me. I reckon it’s been on the cards for a while through with Gurney coming back into the fold. If Lorna Bailey ends up taking over from Gurney as well it’ll be awful.Apologies if its been said havent read the whole thread, but I was told he's retiring but his statement seems to suggest he's moving on
Stoke. 2 year deal.Apologies if its been said havent read the whole thread, but I was told he's retiring but his statement seems to suggest he's moving on
It’s impressive how consistently annoying Lorna manages to beYeah that’s what it looks like to me. I reckon it’s been on the cards for a while through with Gurney coming back into the fold. If Lorna Bailey ends up taking over from Gurney as well it’ll be awful.
Neither Rob or Lorna Bailey handled the fans forum very well at all.Rob totally mismanaged the fans forum following the sacking of Robins. He operated like an ill
Informed fan not a BBC sports journalist.
At times we love Rob for his emotional bias but when you openly question whether the owner of the club is telling the truth when you have no evidence to the contrary then it’s unlikely to end well for you.
Fucking bitch was speculating how long it took a fan who sent a text in to walk home and what route he might take.If Lorna Bailey gets a permanent gig on there then I’m done with CWR too.
Not sure that’s the correct language to be using.Fucking bitch was speculating how long it took a fan who sent a text in to walk home and what route he might take.
Sounds like he is leaving cwr completelyJust hope it’s his decision and he’s not been pushed out.
Wonder if it will still be him and Rob doing Warwickshire games this summer as that falls under the BBC despite being streamed by the club.
Apologies if its been said havent read the whole thread, but I was told he's retiring but his statement seems to suggest he's moving on
Stoke. 2 year deal.
Different subject... but I do wonder how far away we are from this... Especially if we have some favourable results in the next three games. My dream would be for the club to launch its own tv channel with Clive hosting his own show and doing match comms.
The confirmation bias was pretty obvious very early on. There seemed to be nothing that King could have said which would have been viewed as valid reasoning.Neither Rob or Lorna Bailey handled the fans forum very well at all.
They tried to make it a witch hunt against King, and carried on that narrative throughout despite King answering the questions well.
Good point malc. I could never listen to Clive’s radio commentary without having a complete mental breakdown - as Clive was always predicting danger - with the oppo most likely playing the ball around their penalty area. With video I’ve cut down on the Valium.End of an era. No longer able to ignore prophecies of “danger here” and always the possibility of complete misidentification of city scorers. Clive said MVE had scored Paterson’s goal. Easy error as MVE seems more naturally right footed than Pato. The word “broodje” is Dutch for batch (well bread roll).
It’s clear he is a victim of BBC cuts
Bad decision then
Maybe he is going part time for a while before finally retiring and doesn't want all the travelling to away games. It’s clear he is a victim of BBC cuts
I don't think it was entirely voluntaryApologies if its been said havent read the whole thread, but I was told he's retiring but his statement seems to suggest he's moving on
