He apparently said it was far too cold to be running around in shorts.

Think he also said the grass was a tripping hazard.

Normally in the past couple of seasons when he has been injured it has coincided with a bad run of results.
So how can things get worse ?
Maybe instead of being beaten by one goal every week it will be two or three !!!!!

Potentially yes. Leeds are interested in him but I can't see us get much of a fee out of Bates !!

He has been pretty poor recently, giving the ball away in dangerous positions and only ever seems to pass backwards! His corners never beat the first man either! I thought that he wasnt greatly missed against Hull.

I agree with Jonesy. Clingan has been poor in the last 10 games. The error which lead to Brightons first goal summed it up.

I think he is a very good player at this level and would excell with better players around him but the writings on the wall, he is either going in January or unwilling to sign a new contract.

In SISU eyes something is better than nothing and the saving on wages, as we will not get a replacement!!

He was playing alright up until the Forest game, defended well and kept the ball 9/10 times and passing well but his set pieces are terrible, especially corners.
I would put Gardner on the set pieces, albeit sacrificing his height in the box but he is capable of quality like the cross that somehow Richard Wood failed to score from against Hull. That was the best ball of the game, and from the video's I have seen he has a quality free kick on him.

You alll have had your wish KD now picks the team ,Clingan has not been as dire as some of you think, and has played through injury several times this season ,through this very same foot injury. He will not play again before he's sold ,just like Turner.

Although mostly below par this season, i thought his best performance came against West Ham.

Surely it does not matter weather he plays or not because were getting relegated witout a fight anyway, so by trying to keep him makes no differance.
If he wants to go/not sign a new contract and who can blame him with division 1 football ahead then let him go sell him for some money, Ok sisu keep it but people have given up anyway so what is the point.
Sorry wingy but do not understand the you have all had your wish KD picks the team, who has said they want KD to pick the team?
I don't think Clingan will be sold in January he will just see out his contract here and sign for someone in the summer.
It would be more financially beneficial for him to do that, think any off those coming to the end of there contracts will just run them down weather sisu offered them contracts of 10k or not as a professional footballer with the chance to carry on playing championship football or league 1 football the chioce is very easy to make.

Really will not be missed!

Can also see him being shipped out in January, and if that means we get even a little bit of money for him, then I say do it!!

He's never committed himself to any of his former clubs (Forest & Norwich), always jumping ship when the goin gets tough, and the team who have forked out for his wages for the last 3 or so years are left with nothing in return.

Well there you go then, he's proved he's a mercenary in the past why would we be an exception to his loyalty rule?, bet he's gutted he left/did not sign for Norwich, if offered a contract ointlaugh:

With relegation looming if Clingan doesnt sign he will be gone in Jan to the best offer as they will save on his wages and his chance to walk free from the club. As any fee no matter how small is better than nowt, he will be quickly followed by Wood(wages) Craine due to not signing his deal and one of the young kids Christie, Thomas or Bigi...

Getting ready for league 1 after Christmas and using the loss of revenue and FA rules to justify the players out... Loans will be in but all like Gardner free with no wages paid!!!!!

Morning Ichan , the point i've been trying to get across relates to anyone thinking when Thorn goes there will be a manager of repute come in and work a miracle with this squad, this squad is demotivated by the reduction in size and quality over last season and the abysmal approach from our owners , leaving the manager as good as castrated ,i don't believe they,ve spent a penny since adding Marlon into the squad last season ,as i remain to be convinced that money changed hands on MCdonald ,or that he was a THorn signing, thus my prediction he would play on saturday as soon as we heard KD was involved in team affairs .you could throw Carsley at it ,again a half mocking half serious response from me to the doubters as early as the 3-4th week of the season, who knows, but like playing the youngsters too much in a desperate fight for survival ,it could possibly snuff out a potentially promising future managerial career. The solution is to rid this club of these disastrous vandals ,then will be the time to appraise whether the manager can cut the mustard,to all who suggest we cant't do it ,your defeatest apathy will give you the club you desire.

This is a dream come true for Sisu. They get rid of someone on 10k a week and replace them with someone who is being paid for by another club. The Sisu aim is to have all 11 positions on the pitch filled with this arrangement.

Strongly agree with this. I know he's been poosr by his standards of late, but during the early games he was our best player. The pass for the goal at Brighton to Wood was immense. He is still one of our best players, and was massively missed on Saturday.

Oh, sorry, wrong team, we're Coventry aint we..I mean, yeah, he was shit, can't wait until he's gone

Won't be missed to be honest.

We won't see him in a Sky Blue Shirt again. Good luck at Leeds.

Yep just like we haven't missed Gunnarson. Besides who needs Clingan when we have the likes of David Bell waiting in the wings.

Don't forget King - not missing him either, or Turner!
