If Gael comes in and rediscovers his preseason form he'd contribute more than Sammy has past few games. The only way he'll get to play his natural game is if Sammy is out-and as I said in preseason, he and Deegan seemed to be exactly on each others wavelength.

It's a big ask though, we could have 3 17 year olds and 19 year old on the pitch. I predict that he will be fit for Saturday.

It's a huge ask to expect Bigi to come in and take up the mantle at the age of 17 and run the midfield every week for the foreseeable future.

Sammy is vital for us , we maybe a bit more screwed if he is out for a while

Back spasms? A week to get over it? Jeez my back kills every day but I'll still go play with my son's mates at my age! Give me a break.
The football clubs on the line....he will play next week.

its not just a case of him playing though is it, he needs to turn up and be good! its a bit different to you shuffling about with your kids.

He's only been shuffling around in front of his back 4 in his own half of late, probably a similar amount of exertion involved

That said, he was our best player in the first month of the season. Even good players get dragged down by poor results.
