He had 2 full seasons at Cosmos after leaving Villa and never played for Villa in between times. He wasn't one of those players playing Winters in UK & Summer in the US, so I very much doubt that he was still registered to Villa. Pretty sure we paid a paltry fee to him too, and that fee went to Cosmos, not Villa.
