Moving..

The odds on City to secure promotion have changed dramatically amid the Joe Cole news.

The Sky Blues are now as short as 9/4 to finally get out of League One while winning the title can be backed at 7/1.

At the start of the summer, the Sky Blues could be backed at 25/1 to win the league and 9/1 to get promoted. Amazing how times can change!

The odds have barely moved with Coles signing, just a fraction.

But yes they are dramatically different from the start of the season.

Must try & remember to bump at Xmas, see how it is then. Or if we sign Joey Barton once JC leaves.

When there was talk of Cole signing today I had a look at our odds of winning L1. 9/1. When I went back at 5.30pm, they were 7/1. Still whacked £20 on!

Am I allowed to feel a little smug now?

I didn't manage to get 25/1. But I got us @ 22/1, 20/1 and 18/1 to win and also put a fair bit on E/W at the same odds where we have to come in the top 4. Also put some on for us to get promoted but can't remember the odds I got. Looks like I might not have thrown my money away like several told me on here I had. IIRC at least half thought that mid table would be a good result. If we win I am due a large 4 figure sum. Will still be close to 1k for us to be in the top 4 and even more if we get promoted. I might have a little vote on here to see where the money goes to as I always donate half of my winnings over the season. And coming top will mean a fair bit to go around.

Reminds me of the time a couple of years ago when I got 80/1 on Yeovil getting promoted. The bookies are not always right.

Big regret not plumping £10 ew on at 25/1 but our pre seaosn form was so dire I didn't know where the goals were going to come from. then Armstrong comes in a day before the season kicks off and that was that. No value at 5/2 promotion now nor 7/1 for the league. This is Cov after all history is against us

Coles only signed for 35 days , that's why the odds have not changed too much !
