Tommy English when he dyed his jet black locks to platinum blonde. Confused me a lot as a 10 year old. Thought we had a new number 9.

My mate and hairdresser used to cut all the CCFC players hair back in the 80s -he was the offcial club barber -Even now he still cuts alot of the old players - oggy is a regular - his names paul todd and i think he's about 73 now but looks about 53 - He does a 6 day full week at the hair salon sometimes starting at 7am and finishing at 6pm and trains down the gym every night

I can’t believe I ever accepted this follicle clusterfuck as normal.

Scored a header v Liverpool (HR East End).... rose like a dead salmon as memory serves

Yes. Iconic goal and the first of 4 that day as we hammered the Champions and dominant team in Europe. Terry Gibson hat-trick followed.

Who in their right mind wants a barber with the name Todd!

Do you get a free meat pie with every cut?

Highfield Road in the background (Main Stand) looks great and ready for the new season. Simpler times in 1983!

I was in the East Terrace, below the scoreboard for the Liverpool game. What-a-game that was.

Well I understand the shame Nick....... as Nick Platnaeur was born in Leicester and later played for the Foxes..........

But on the very positive side he was part of a very young and hastily assembled team who made us all dream against the odds in the summer and autumn of 1983. And that goal is one of the iconic HR goals. So not all bad!

Mate I was in the Main Stand. I will never forget Gibson's run and finish past Grobbelaar to complete the hat-trick. It was just unbelievable considering who we were playing and the background to that season. Amazing moments at HR that will never be forgotten.

I thought he dyed his hair that colour to be a Platnauer blonde.

Not many people know...he split his boot but refused to replace it at halftime...he taped it up and scored his third with a taped-up boot
