It has to be said in my personal opinion when the fixtures were released before the season began I circled this one in my calendar and planned months ahead to ensure that I was avaliable for this game, now that Sheffield United is out the way the derby-day buzz is already hitting me with 5 days to go, but enough about me in preperation for this game.

What are your fondest memories in this fixture?
Have you been a lucky one to purchase a ticket?
Do you consider this to be our main rival?

I have been told I am no longer needed now that Callum and Leon are scoring for fun.

So you're in the bomb squad?

I'm injured for this one, which is a shame as it's one I really wanted to go to. Hope we sell out, a week left and still over 1k tickets (including the extra extra allocation we haven't been given yet) is a bit disappointing.

Got another 850 after the first 2.5k sold out. Apparently there's another 700 or so after that I think.

Edit: http://www.coventrycity-mad.co.uk/feat/ed15/wolves_tickets_still_available_810057/index.shtml?

I grew up near Wolverhampton and pretty much all my friends supported them - the days before Sky Sports and most kids following the "top 4".

The 2 games against Wolves were always my matches of the season, plus this wasn't long after Cov and Wolves got promoted together in '67, so there was a real edge to the games.

I remember being at Molineux in '70 when a Brian Joicey goal gave us a win that saw us qualify for Europe - the days of Ian Gibson, Ernie Hunt, Bill Glazier and Neil Martin for us, Dereck Dougan, John Richards and Dave Wagstaff for Wolves.

I'll be there on Saturday

I remember a couple of seasons back we beat them 2-1 at the Ricoh, can't remember who scored the winner but sure Michael Doyle scored one. A couple of weeks before we did the double and won against Brum, I remember Singers Corner bursting out into 'Pride of the Midlands'

I managed to get 4 tickets from the original allocation and speaking to another (ex?) poster off here yesterday and it looks like there's going to be a good 20 or so of us on the early train from Cov.

Looks set to be a cracking day.

Lets beat Wolves and create a steam rolling train right through this league just like Bournemouth done last year. Poor league so why not?

I imagine the only fans that would class wolves as rivals would be those over 60?

That was a crazy game! We totally hammered them, went 1 up but they equalised. Literally straight after we equalised Mckenzie had 3 one on ones (or near enough one on ones), fluffed the first 2 and buried the 3rd!

Dazzle - same age as you and I was at that one too. Remember being intimidated by the size of the crowd, my first away game and it was the occasion rather than anything about the game that stays with me (was it a night game? - I remember it being dark)

Yes it was a night game.

It had originally been due to be played around Xmas, but was postponed (I think it was fog) and rearranged for near the end of the season.

Ive seen us beat Wolves a few times but a fondest memory my Dad had because I wasn't born was when we beat them 2-1 at Highfield rd to win the league and gain promotion. My dad said there was over 50,000 in the ground and he sat by the goalpost it was that rammed.

Wolves, the only ground I 've ever been ejected from, back in 1984 aged 17.....................I might add there were stacks of City fans thrown out that night for very little and many letters in the CET the following days !

The second allocation of tickets is now sold out so if you still want a ticket, there is one spare and the contact details are earlier in this thread.
