We'll be needing JC this season to stay up. I wonder if he can turn two turkeys into an eagle?

No, but take a look at the bench, Daniels is our only other striker and so far he's not managed to get on the pitch. If anything happens to Wilson or god forbid clarke................. gonna need another body, even if it is Manset.

im happy we got this guy, bags of potential but damn we need centrebacks!

really need to off load bomb squad it seems, even if we let them all go on frees i wonder if there are many takers?

I would imagine the bomb squad are all available for free anyway. I can't imagine even SISU will be able to 'coerce' any club to pay any money for these players.

Sounds like we need to move at least 1 player to allow another to come in, the exception for Manset was because Cody left in the summer...

Sky Blues development director Steve Waggott explained how the club can bring in new players whilst operating under embargo.
He said: "According to the rules of the Football League and Financial Fair Play you can be subject to a transfer embargo but still be able to make adjustments to your squad.

"The Football League operates a policy of one player out and one player in, therefore the departure of Cody McDonald in the summer enables us to bring in a replacement.

"There are, however, certain conditions to any transfer business being done to ensure that clubs are not increasing their financial risk in their acquisition of new players.

"To ensure that, the Football League insists that any player brought in can only be on a maximum 75% of the wages that the departed player was on.

"Given that condition, it is crucial that we make the best possible use of this opportunity. Steven Pressley has been working tirelessly to identify the kind of targets that he feels will add depth to his squad for this season and I will work equally hard in trying to get his targets through the door in a manner that fits in with Football League rules."

One in one out, so depth wise we'll be no better off?

Sorry but I am not that bothered about signings and given that they can only be on 75% of a departing player (CM) its hardly something to get excited over. The big news I want is City begin discussions on takeover. Unfortunately no new player will save us from the mess we are in.

Forgot about those two, I would expect to see 2 more come through the door before the weekend then, imo.

Ruffels, Bell, Wood, Stewart and Cameron have all gone have all gone in addition to Cody and there's people who have been released if they count.

Instead of slitting my wrists about us signing a new player like most of the silly, melodramatic, misery guts on here, I am looking forward to seeing "the beast" play.

My Reading supporting mate reckons he could become a bit of a cult hero for us and used that wonderful footballing cliche of "strong as an ox."

Good luck to him, hope he does well.

I don't think players who's contracts have run out count towards this one in, one out policy. Only those who have left whilst under contract, namely the bomb squad.

Didn't stewarts contract expire, same as Cameron?

Could he be the new Adebola? A lumbering oaf, who some how manages to keep hold of the ball when it looks like he can barely put one foot in front of the other. I used to love those runs he made.

Time for another 'educated guess' after the fact.

As for me, I'm going for Matta this time.

Bell was under contract and on a big wage so presumably we can bring in a replacement for him

Pressley said he could make 2 signings and then it would be one in, one out. The 2 comes from the fact we've got shot of Bell and McDonald.

He also mentioned that he'd like 7 new signings. That's presumably the best case scenario in the event that we get rid of all of the bomb squad members.
