If we continue to slump on the field I don't see how a 5,000 crowd in a 20,000 seater stadium would be any better than 7,000 in a 32,000 seater stadium.

Can't see this being an issue. Other teams groundshare so presumably the relevant leagues already have a protocol in place to deal with this. Presumably something as simple as one sorts their fixtures first and the non available dates are passed to the other league.

D) sisu won't be here forever but we will very likely never get to own/leasehold the Ricoh . Why would Wasps want want to sell it, when it will be funding them? This will have a major medium to long impact on us.

E) it will negatively impact on both the club and cov RFC. 2 Coventry community based sports teams that have been in existence for 150 years

F) the hypocrisy of trying to sue Northampton, stating moving cov is wrong then moving in someone else.

i see you've missed one major factor. SISU are the ones who have constantly talked about only using ricoh again as stop gap until this 'new' stadium is built. SISU are the ones who initiated this indirectly. CCC/ACL covering there backs which most companies would do.

Yep, I know. I accept all that. Think that final point could be quite critical for CRFC.

As for the seating, no, Wasps won't want to play in sky blue seats. On that I think there will be a compromise and it would end up as a mixture, with both brands clearly on display.

well at least 5k have, just look at the attendances from saturday compared to sixfields.

like i said further up, sisu have ruined this club. average attendance in 2007 was 17k. weve lost 10k of fans under sisu ownership. i can see a pattern emerging here.

I know I did. As a proud Coventry kid I always look out for Cov's score and always want all Coventry based clubs to do well, even the Bees and I cannot stand speedway.

i keep an eye out but my priority is ccfc so sorry they take my concern over anything else. deep down i would love ccfc own its stadium whether its the ricoh or a new ground. The ground is 9 years old and i would have hoped by now we would be owning outright. sisu had a chance back in 2007 to take ownership but decided not to. Thats back fired massively on the club. look how much weve declined over recent years.

I'm pleased you felt that way. I live in Northampton but would never have popped in to watch Coventry playing "at home". I never got my head round the protests to that move included getting thousands of people to watch the away match v Franchise FC! With the Wasps news, part of me can't help thinking what goes around comes around.

Anyway, most people now agree "sports franchises" threaten various professional sports in this country. Maybe a protest against franchises when "MK Dons" turn up for the Ricoh fixture?

This is the point isnt it, through no fault of their own they are now actively at risk because of what is happening on the football side. I have no emotional tie to the Rugby club (i cannot stand Rugby to be honest) but they are from Coventry and are going to be screwed over by a London club of bigger stature.
