Lost 1-0 at Bristol City. Finished the day in 15th place of Division 3 (South) on 22 points from 17 games.
Guess we've gone down the shitter since then...

1-1 Tottenham - Bannister and Waddle - in a year Spurs got 2 points deducted for not being able to fulfill a game against us for having no safety certificate apparently!

I travelled down to that game with mates, I drove and we carried on off to have a night in Brighton in the clubs, we somehow slept in my mates Dad's old Territorial Army tent on a camp site..............it was that well camouflaged we struggled to find it at 3 am in the pitch black !

Just picked up on this thread, so a belated 'Happy Birthday' to you Dan. What a bunch of lousy bastards my fellow SBTers are in not getting there before me.
Anyway Dan, seeing as you asked - The game closest to my birth date was the first game of 1966/67 played on 20th Aug. We beat Hull 1-0 and it didn't turn out to be a bad season for us.

I entered this world to a 2-2 Leicester (A), 1994/95 season. Blackburn were champions - now look at us both...

2-1 Away win at Middlesboro Powell and Ferguson scoring

My brother's a 1-0 loss at Villa. Paul Birch scoring.

My lads, 3-0 victory against Derby County, we bought him home that day, sat on the Sofa with him watching the game on TV. Gary Mac, Hignett and Bothroyd scoring. That was the 3rd game of a 10 match unbeaten run, meaning we didnt lose until he was 5 weeks old.

I collect old City programmes and I've got one that has three 'Hill's' in the City line-up.

1941/42 season. No fixtures as Coventry City didn't play second half of season. However, some of the squad from that season I saw play as a boy. George Mason, Billy Frith, Alf Wood, Ted Roberts. Just names to 99% of people on here but heros to me in the early 1950's
