2-0 reverse for reserves

Coventry City used the international break to arrange a behind closed doors friendly game to test the fitness of players returning to action after recovering from injury and to have a look at some of the younger players in the squad.
Coventry boss Aidy Boothroyd wanted to check on the fitness of some of his senior player who have recently recovered from a miscellany of injuries.
Marlon King was not one of those players as he continues to recover from a dead leg, but he should be fit for Saturday's trip to Ipswich.

"It was a chance for players like Gary McSheffrey, Danny Ward and James McPake to get a game after their injuries, while Roy O'Donovan had a game, so it was good for that but not a particularly good game for us because it took an hour for us to get going, unfortunately," said Boothroyd
Boothroyd was impressed with some of his youngsters and praised them even though the team lost.
"We lost 2-0," said Boothroyd to the CT, "but there were two good performances from Cyrus Christie and Conor Thomas who both looked very good."
