Has anybody got in touch with the club about it? I don't think it's feasible without the help and promotion from the club. Advertising it on here won't get anywhere near enough fans going. In my opinion Brighton would be a better option. Not only is it more appealing as a place, the date of the fixture is further away meaning more time for exposure. I know the tour day has been talked about for a while but nobody seems to have done anything about it (with the club I mean). Also, for it to happen ticket prices would probably have to be lowered. The only way this would happen is if the club got in touch with Brighton/Barnsley and said they could guarantee that 3/4/5k fans would turn up.

Yeah you could do, looking on an earlier thread someone was going to that in July but don't know if anything has happened? There's also a Facebook page set up apparently

Yeah, I've seen it - there's about 80 people on there! Like I said, need the club to help advertise.

Brighton.......November 26th, limited tickets available no doubt. Local to you is it? If City had a real COTD that was promoted properly we would need a large enough stadium to accommodate huge numbers of us??

Who are you asking if it's local? Because if it's me then I can answer straight away... No, it is not local to me. In fact, if you live in Cov then you're closer than me. You may be right about a bigger stadium though. If that's the case then these are more doable:

Forest, Leeds, West Ham, Derby, Leicester, Southampton, Cardiff, Birmingham, Ipswich and Reading.

I would also say there's not much point with midlands teams, which leaves:

Leeds, West Ham, Southampton, Cardiff, Ipswich and Reading.

My choices out of those - Southampton, Cardiff or Reading.

Kg 82....................I think it should either be Derby or better still Reading away, it gives some time to get it organised properly. Reading could offer about 6000 seats as well I guess with notice. Barnsley is a bit soon perhaps and Brighton will be full of curious City fans anyway out on the lash.

Surely it would have to be Leicester away? Saturday game, just down the road local derby. Your mums your dad and all that.

Think about it 6-7k cov fans, atmosphere would be electric! Its the only choice really?

God no, Leicester's an embarrassing day out anyway with all them kids who "bare h8 da lesta scum innit" this will attract loads more and they'll definatly start thinking they're clever with that cringeworthy "your mum's your dad chant" whilst they're actually telling Leicester fan's that they are interbred, I.e you sleep with people from outside of your family. Such a clever chant!

Barnsley would have been ideal for reasons already mentioned, though is probably too soon to get an 'On Tour Day' arranged.

Southampton away would get my vote, though will go one of two ways though

a) dead rubber (either safe, or god forbid, already relegated)
b) potential end of season battle to stay up

Posh away is another decent away ground, not too far either and still terracing (I believe)

They're getting rid of their terracing in favour of a horrible, "modern", souless all-seater stand. The terracing gets knocked down about 3 weeks before we play them! As a result I doubt I can be arsed to go to that now. Agree with Southampton though would be quality depending on circumstances.

I would definately be up for the COTD, i don't care where it is as i can get anywhere reletively easy.I do like the sound of Southampton but as i've never been.

Southampton is not really a good idea, the season will most probably be dead by then and also don't they very often stick those last games on a sunday which gives travel problems. Reading would be the one as its not too far, still mid season ish, big away end, easy for London supporters club etc etc, either that or Derby, although they only give maximum 4000 I think.

Reading away is a great idea. Straight down the M40, less than 100 miles. Barnsley would have been great but we've left it way too late with only a few weeks to go.

Southampton or Reading gets my vote, we would easily get 6K allocation if we needed it and both good days out. There is a great pub just before the huge bridge at southampton, great atmosphere and nice hosts with cheap food!!!
