Looking at last weeks squad v Port Vale SP has certainly got his "physicality" requirement in abundance with most players now well over the 6'0" mark:

Allsop: 6'3"
Pennington: 6'1"
Webster: 6'2"
Martin: 6'3"
Johnson 6'3"
Haynes: 6'1"
Barton: 6'2"
Finch: 6'1"
Madine:6'3"
..................
Thomas:6'1"
Hines: 6'2"

Not forgetting big Frank: 6'3"

Note: stats from Wickipedia - could not trust CCFC web site claiming Webster is 10 stone and just 6'0" !!!

So with all this towering presence why are we not dominating set pieces
with the exception of Reda (5 goals to date) with more goals from the rest which is virtually the vast majority of the team ???

We do need physicality in this league although Haynes, Barton, Thomas may be big but I wouldn't say they are physical players.

Even so Nick collectively we should be making more dents in the opposition armoury than at moment.

Allsop is a goakeeper
Pennington has been here for about 2 games
Webster isn't aggressive enough in attacking the ball
Martin and Madine should bag a few from set pieces over a full season as well as Johnson
Haynes, Barton, Finch, Nouble and Thomas haven't shown any sort of aerial ability in there time here
Hines hasn't played much

11 points from our last 6 games is pretty good, isnt it?

14 from 7 after tomorrow would be really good (I think the Worcester debacle tucked in amongst that, coupled with the Wasps/not our ground malarkey has detracted from this (little) run).

Most fans on here seem to take more pleasure from the team losing so they can slate the club and its owners. They even seem to be squealing with joy now that a franchise rugby team has moved in as it spites the club's owners.

Nice topic for analysis JR
e
On the general topic yes we should make more of It ,think we should also develop someone to take long throw ins as well to make the most of our height.

On Barton yes he appears to have failed for the majority of his time here but given an extended run has flourished .

In the Bristol City game he came very close on two occasions with headers ,maybe one we could utilise more at set pieces IMO.

We're clearly playing the wrong sport. Need to re-invent ourselves as a basketball team.
