]I for one dont agree with all the calls and moans about Aidy having to go.

Bristol only had three shots in the first half! That's all. We hit the bar and James pulled off a great save.

We can't keep changing the Manager. He's had no money, run off bad injuries and it ain't his fault. Our pattern of play and change in fortune can be traced back to when we lost key players.

When Clingan was injured Doyle came in to play alongside Carsley, who then was injured and Gunnarsson was moved to the centre. Up to this point he had played out right. Doyle was then sold and the centre of midfield and heart of the team has gone. Cranie was a stop gap and Gunnar has not been as effective in the middle.

Hussey being injured didn't help, same with McPake. All have impacted on our results.
Platt is an easy target but why? We were playing to his strength before Xmas but since he has been a lone striker on too many occassions. In comparison Lukas has had 70 odd shots and 2 goals that are not from pens. That's the problem

If Aidy had his first 11 then I think the results and a play off place would have been a real possibility.

I don't think Aidy has even played his first choice team
Westwood

Platt

We've had bad luck with injuries & a lack of cash to bring in replacements. On top of that Aidy had to change effective football to plan B due to injuries, players being sold etc

I can see progress.
Going forward attracting players to Cov is hard but that's about wages and prospects. The players out of contract will go at the end of the season because the Club can't afford the wages of QPR etc

Yes I do think Platt is a steal. He's a genuine footballer. Because our wage budget is so low we are only likely to be able to attract players of his status. He's played more then expected but that because of injuries and poor form of others.

At the moment we are not playing long ball and our downturn in form is linked in my view to when we stopped and we started to play with wingers.

Yes Aidy has made mistakes, his subs or lack of is frustrating. But he plays to his teams strengths. I think he listened to people talking about attractive football and should have stayed with effective football.

We also lost the heart of the midfield with Sammy and Carsley for months and that has impacted on results. With Ben Turner as well the heart of the team has gone. I don't think any Manager would have done better. We even had to sell Doyle to save 8k a week.

I think Connor Thomas would have been a regular first team player next season. But he was sold against the Managers wishes.

My concern is next season unless some serious money is spent the team will be worse then this season. That's not Aidy’s fault.

I don't see how Aidy has failed at all. We have the worst goal to shot ratio then any other side I've known. Decent strikers cost money. Ours are basically free transfers. Apart from Fred but even he would not command a fee now. Who do you blame? Has to be the owners. We made chances against Bristol but didn't finish. Spend £3m on two forwards in the team with pace and an eye for goal, Hussey at left back, a fit Sammy and a season with Turner and Wood at the back then we will have a top 8 finish.

We are not that far off a decent side...

Want to blame someone? Blame the right person, blame the owners and lay off Aidy.

He should stay. He's done nothing wrong. Sackng him wouldjust mean we would be losing an extra £1k to £5k a week dues to us paying 3 managers when only one is working for us.

Sacking him definitely not the way forward. Not sure who we'd get in to replace him, or what different they could do at this stage. And mucking up what little stability we have right now wouldn't be the best idea either.

Agreed even at 3.0 yesterday at HT apart from the scoreline it was an even game. After the third went in I checked the live BBC stats and we'd had 60% possession and same amount of attempts at goal. Brizzle's first goal was stoppable from a defensive point of view so that was disappointing but we then let in a bit of a freak (and debatable) free kick and conceded a daft penalty.
2nd half turned into a bit of a circus that had everyone pulling their hair out. I'd say Brizzle going in 3.0 at HT was a very flattering scoreline for them.

I'm bored of changing managers, it's not the answer. It's a waste of funds and we need to stop this culture of using football managers as scapegoats to paper over the cracks of deeper issues.

Over and out.

The only reason I would change managers is if we got a new bilionaire owner and it was a Sven type to attract decent players!

Changing the manager ridiculous and pointless. We can't afford a decent squad so any manager will struggle. Some of the comments in this thread show how desperate we have become. For example saying that if AB had his first 11 available all season we would be in the top 6. No club ever has its first 11 available all season, which is why we are struggling with no talent in depth (though I do agree with the hypothetical point). Even better "apart from being 3-0 down it was an even game". We are all clutching for any straw possible. All in all the usual fun filled trip to the Ricoh. Traffic jams, wet cold walk from the parking, dozens of kids with buckets asking if we had any spare change for their team (come on Ray things can't be that bad), the usual bloke with tourettes sitting in front of me And a performance that had me walking back past Tesco as the half time whistle blew! This is the most worried I have been since we came down

I defo agree that we shouldn't sack Aidy and keep any stability that we have. Even if we have a full squad with no injuries then next season is gonna be nervy espicaly if westwood, gunnarson and king go. ( i believe king will stay if Aidy is still in charge) but with no money how we gonna replace this players with free transfers. and i believe Jutkiewicz was signed for around a million not a free transfer. i just hope we stay in this league this season as i live down south and bournemouth and southampton look like getting promoted and then cas see them two away games.

Agree with all the comments here, Hoofy is stuck between a rock and a hard place, we could have the best manager in the world, but with no investment, we have not chance

Glad to see people backing Aidy, yes it's a results business but apart from Saturday there has been no Coleman style capitulations, we're still in games late on. I do think he's built something that needs adding to now, so the ball is in the boards court.

If they have no money then I'm afraid we have to lump it with Aidy, changing manager would mean another rebuild and we've been through that enough.

I can't help but like Aidy Boothroyd, he's very honest and open with the fans, he really cares about the team and has high standards.
I just don't think there is any other manager who could work under these conditions and not be in the same position as Aidy is. He's got a team that has been riddled with the most injuries I have ever known at a football club, a board that didn't back him went he wanted to keep hold of young talent and a club that seems to be falling apart at the seams with money pouring out. Its not the mans faults and I'm happy to see that people want him to stay.

Anyone see Niall Quinn on Sunday supplement ? "the fans want to pay less to get in but also want big players = big salaries, simply can't work like that"

Perhaps in our case there's a mixture of the above and lack of external income at the time being
