Birmingham v Coventry

Coventry will play Birmingham away for the FA cup 4th round post your reaction to the news here.

The tie is expected to take place on Saturday January 29th and will be subject to the demands of television and the FA website who also have broadcasting rights

Just read on the ground guide that their away stand is 3,000 which can be increased to 4,500 for cup games. I think we can sell this out especially if it isn't on TV!

20 mins on a train and a sell out away stand - can't wait!

This game will also see us play against former sky blue Scott Dann and also see a return to St.Andrews for Lee Carsley and Gary McSheffrey.

Sky Blue Army!

What a great draw! Last Time I was at St. Andrews was a cup match and Mc Allister scored a free kick I think.... Many years ago....

Really looking forward to this tie! Will be a great atmosphere in the ground, defiantly winnable. Do season ticket holders get priority on tickets? PUSB

If we sell that out, we will get some of the home stand. Friends that are blues fans say they will have roughly 6k fans there.

Im sure Season ticket holders/Half season ticket holders will get priority on the first batch of tickets.... I suggest booking them online and choosing seats towards to top end of the away stand

When you say top end of the away stand what d'ya mean? (Apologies if I'm being utterly dozy!)

Top of the away stands are normally where people who sing are and the bottom is normally where the Grandads sit (no offence SBT Grandads )

Well for away matches most of the singing/chanting happens towards the top end of the stand.... the only way you can choose ur seat is if you book it online.

It's Birmingham away we'll all be standing up. Should be good, perhaps Keane will be playing? Can't wait now. Unfortunately i think it'll be moved to a Sunday cause Villa are at home as well.

HAHA, they mean at the back basically, central to the goal x

I remember Vile away in the cup, it sounded like a Home game with the support we took.Sky blue ballons, scarves and what not bein waved around. Moldovan scored at the witton end, was superb. Blues should be just like this!!

City And Birmingham In Talks Over Cup Date

Coventry City and Birmingham City are in talks about the date of their Fourth Round FA Cup tie.

The tie is scheduled for the weekend of Janauary 28th/29th and with Birmingham based Aston Villa also being drawn at home to Blackburn Rovers, the clubs, the police and other agencies have to agree on which game is played on which day.

Any demands that may be required by the television companies with FA Broadcast Rights also have to be factored in to the equation before the date is officially confirmed.

If the game is on the Sunday then there is the possibilty that the scheduled home league game against Nottingham Forest, which is scheduled for February 1st, could be put back 24 hours.

City and Birmingham are also sorting out ticket prices and an announcement about this is expected in the coming days.

Match tickets have to be printed and delivered, so there is no point in contacting City's ticket office until an announcement is made by the club as to the selling arrangements.

It is looking like that if a replay is required, it will be at the Ricoh Arena on Tuesday February 8th but is still subject to confirmation.

How many fans do you think we'l bring? the allocation is 4.5k, do you think we can sell this out + more?

Moldovan, bloody hell, totally forgot about him. Didn't he smash a load of goals in the European cup, then seriously flop once we signed him!!

To my mind, his two most famous goals were in 1998- against England at WC '98 for Romania (the first ever Sky Blue to score at the World Cup finals!) and, of course, against the Vile

I could watch this all day

He also scored against Manchester United for the French side, Nantes in the Champions League- it's on Youtube somewhere!

I had a read of that ground guide website, and it seems as far as pubs go, there's the occasional one that accepts home supporters whilst hiding their colours, but not any fully-fledged "away fans only" (like we have near the Ricoh). Anyone know if there's any places particuarly accepting of away supporters in Birmingham / near the ground?

Kay, you will not have any hassle at Brum honest. If people want to "mix it" they will i'm sure but as for people just wandering to the ground, they have no interest in us at all.
Wait untill nearer the time, and most important what day they give us to play on, and i'm sure we all can assist you in getting in and out with no worries x
