According to a report on BBC Midlands' Late Kick Off programme, Coventry City's attendances are down by 20% from five seasons ago.

In 2006/2007, City's crowds were averaging 20,342 but five seasons later, the average based on officially recorded attendances rather than the actual number in the ground is down to 16,358.

Crowds at Nottingham Forest and Derby are up whilst Leicester City's average crowd has stayed the same.

Just shows that if your near the top people start to show interest and start paying to watch you. Unfortunately cov haven't got 20,000+ die hard fans who can afford to buy season tickets and attend every game no matter how the team is playing.

It's a shame would be amazing to get 20,000+ every home game.

Anyone know any other factors they can see that could be fixed to bring people into the Ricoh?
The half season tickets and deals on several matches at a time are very reasonable that it makes my season ticket look stupid (but id rather pay that and have a full house).
The only thing I can think of is transport up to the Ricoh (don't want to bring up the old debate but the train station would be a nice idea lol).
I know we've been on a bad run but that doesn't stop a lot of people going up, once a city fan, always a city fan.

coventry just isnt a big footballing city, the excuses of ticket prices and travel is bullshit alot of the time as suddenly expenses and travel difficulties suddenly disappear for a big game!!

it's up to the fans to turn up at the end of the day and there are not enough people in coventry passionate enough about football to come to games week in week out. most fans still live in the prem days and expect big money signings and attractive winning football which isnt realistic in our current position. i feel ranson has tried his best to get fans to turn up, theres not a lot more a chairman can do if im honest (unless he is a rich arab sheikh)
