Manning just isn't the same player when the pressure is put on him. He's just not mobile enough. Great if he gets the protection, but you can't keep protecting him all day long.

How do you think I feel, I am a Redskins fan and they were the 2nd worst team in the entire league this season.

Hang on a minute - now I don't follow American sports - but didn't they just lose to decide who the best team in their country is? - therefore by default making them the 2nd best team in the country? That's the equivalent of supporting, say, Chelsea? Yeah, poor you.

Not so sure on RGIII.

At first I thought he was going to be a class player, destined for greatness, but some of his decision making leaves a lot to be desired and too many times this season he was lobbing the ball up in the air more in hope than in any degree of accuracy. His passing game was poor and ill-thought out.

The defence needs sorting too. I only really have faith at the moment in Jordan Reed, the up and coming tight end and Alfred Morris, the running back.

We need better pass protection for RGIII and the defence to have a major overhaul, before we can have a good season.

Billy was at school this morning and the teacher asked all the children what their fathers did for a living. All the typical answers came out – fireman, policeman, salesman, tradesman etc .etc., but Billy was being uncharacteristically quiet and so the teacher asked him about his father.

“My father is an exotic dancer in a gay club and takes off all his clothes in front of other men. Sometimes if the offer is really good, he’ll go out with a man, rent a cheap hotel room and let them sleep with him. “

The teacher quickly set the other children some work to do and took Billy aside to ask him was that really true.

“No” said Billy, “He supports the Denver Broncos and Coventry City but I was just too embarrassed to say”.

You have one of the very best quartebacks there, in Rodgers. Your pass rush is still quite potent on defence, but it is deep coverage that lets them down somewhat.

Packers still did really well to get to where they did with Rodgers out so long.

yeh but still same problem costing 3 seasons in a row

cant defend vs run and now even against the pass. give up way too many points and lose big 3rd downs.

I was a Redskins fan, but haven't seen an NFL game for years. I loved watching the Hogs, John Riggins, Art Monk et al. Pity they seem to have gone downhill in recent seasons.

I personally think that Peyton Manning is slightly overrated. I know that is contentious, but I think that both the Manning brothers struggle somewhat when you put pressure on them. The great quarterbacks, such as Rodgers, have the ability to move about in the pocket to give them more time.

Manning is a great passer of the ball, if he has the pass protection.

Yes, and also the days when Channel4 had an NFL show at a decent time of day. The Redskins - Dolphins Superbowl was the first NFL game I watched and the inability of the Dolphins to stop Riggins fascinated me. I was amazed that JR could take such a beating and still gain yards. I was hooked, but lapsed eventally.

I have a good feeling about next year. A few key defensive upgrades and we could be the real deal. I also believe we could do with a wide receiver in one of the early draft rounds. Maybe 3rd round. All depends what happens in free agency period really. Slight concern about the number of starters hitting free agency.

It was not so much loosing but the manner of losing.

Apart from one or to glitches it was an inevitable progress up to the final.

Supermarkets etc full of Bronco gear, even Bronco coloured bread. I would imagine deals are available today.

Plus there is now a very long wait until the start of the next season.

You think you've got it bad ,try being a Raider fan. Can't remember the last time they even managed a winning season. Our only claim to fame over the years is always having the most penalised team year after year. Although their battle anthem ,'The Autumn Wind Is A Raider', is quality.

I agree, the manner of the loss was bad .

we had hoped for a good game and we had a big cook out n plenty of beers n moonshine going but the best part of the whole game imo was the half time entertainment

The one hat really hurt them this season was being 21-7 up on the broncos mid way through the 3rd and then just getting steamrollered.

They put ball in RGs hands after they had played 2 1/2 perfect quarters against PM, keeping him off the field letting Morris run with it then it all went to pot, aimless throws downfield and bad decision making, hopefully the change in coach will bring more balance to the O and like you say, strengthen the defence.

Ever the optimist, 3 pints tonight please!!!
