You've forced me to check this out! Roussel was born in Mons which is in the French speaking area. You are right however that Delorge & Clement were born in the Flemish area. From what I can see though there are still a sizeable minority (about 31%) of Wallooon French speakers in Flanders, so given their Francophone names I suspect that French is still their 1st language. Now Roger Van Gool would be a different matter
