I've heard Slade brought him back rather than them sending him back.

Whichever way its good news he is back and can develop with us.
Tonight will be a good test of character.
A good performance tonight will show his mental strength.

How can you possibly make a decision based on one game against Bangor ( which was won 6-0) and a couple of sessions with the youth team.
All they needed was to watch him play for us and bid accordingly.
A pointless exercise imo.

Do those accusations aimed at Liverpool unsettling Harries also apply to Coventry City unsettling Kane Smith when he was on trial from Hitchin Town?

Of course. Although there were a couple of subtle differences in that it was during pre-season and he wasn't signed to a professional contract.

But yes anything that gives a player reason to think they could soon be departing to play at a higher level is going to be unsettling.

Not really. No doubt they've seen him play a few games already hence their interest in the first place.

Would you give somebody a job as a salesman purely because they have made a couple of deals in the past? Unlikely. You're going to get them in and interview them to find out if they're a good fit for the team, if they have the mental strength to succeed, if they work well under pressure etc etc.

If we were prepared to let them take Harries on trial don't see any reason why Liverpool wouldn't take him and get to know him a bit better before deciding to splash the cash.

You're point is valid , but what could you get from such a limited timescale ?
The lad only had time to unpack his toothbrush.

True, sure they would have preferred longer but if the option is there for them then they can learn more than having him for 3 days than not.

He signed a million pound contract by mistake? Don't think so, not now his star has fallen and he has to re-build his reputation by hard graft.
