Liverpool transfer confusion: Coach in the dark over January deal

This is where Liverpool feign disinterest in the lad, and try and get him for pennies, just to see if Fisher will accept any old shit bid.

£1 million at the least, the very bare minimum.

What I don't understand reading through this thread is where are the posters who have slagged Harries off for his performances this season?
He's had loads of stick after playing - "not strong enough" "not good enough" etc, but Liverpool obviously have done their homework (or had a call from Fisher - "why not take a look at the new Alan Hansen").
I would like to see Harries stay, and Stevenson, but our owners are happy to sell anything that someone will give them cash for, so fully expect Cian and Ben to go.
The days are long gone when clubs like Southampton and Wolves (Le Tissier/Bull) refuse bids for players who don't want to move. If I recall correctly, Steve Bull turned down the chance to come to CCFC when we were in the Premiership and Wolves were Div 2/3?

I slagged him off pre season and quite rightly because he was rubbish but I also credited the lad after an early season game, you could definitely see he had something to his game but he is or was playing in too lightweight a defence ..wish him all the best for the future and hope we get loadsa dosh for him

Unless they were saying he'll never be good or strong enough, criticising him for playing poorly in a game isn't retrospectively proven wrong now.

I am obviously rubbish at this football lark as I could never really see what the fuss was about.

£1m plus addons would be OK at this stage.

I'd hope we only *have* to sell one or the other, I think Stevenson will be more useful in the short term, before we sell him next January.

To be honest I would happy with a million for him
1.5 for Stevenson
1 million for Willis

good business in my book

Only good business if they are replaced in some way and not just short term loans.

20% of fees received would be nice. It would get us out of this shit division. Slade seems like the right manager to spend half a million wisely.

You'd be happy? Even though we won't see a penny of it on the pitch?

The only one of those prices I agree with would be the 1 million for Willis. Clubs are paying for potential with the other 2, not complete players, and that should come with a premium. 1 mill and 1.5 mill for Harries and Stevenson is nothing, even for upper championship clubs these days.

Let's face it all 3 if leaving would be like free transfers cause non of the money will be seen! So It's irrelevant if the bid is £1 or £100.000.000

Ah the second part I should have mentioned I would only be happy if every penny went back in the pitch and we trusted Slade to mount a real promotion canpaign.
I felt we could have got more for both Wilson and Maddison.
However with these three I don't think they are in the same bracket
(Personally)

I have to say that if a club like Liverpool come chasing one of your players then the fee should reflect that! intital fee of 1million minimum rising on appeareances and all the other crap they add on...but good add ons for a change

That's what I don't get, why do we worry and bother discussing the numbers involved In outgoing
transfers, when we know it will make little to no difference to the managers budget.

Because the other angle is a faint hope that if they pay off the debt they'll fuck off?

Some of the funds have to be reinvested, on the pitch or otherwise - gate receipts don't cover wages, bills, equipment and the occasional fee, surely?

We need to get him back to play in the Piss Pot Cup and then let him go back! Andre Wright did it so, the Lad from Arsenal did it so why can't Harries do it??????

Looks like Liverpool are up to the usual tricks! They have sent Harries back and said they will monitor him. They have had their chance to unsettle him and now they abide their time and when his game goes to shite as it will because his head has been turned and then come back in with another insulting bid.

Screws Fishers wish for finance a bit doesn't it. Harres will hang on now I would think having his ambitions to join Liverpool will outway most other options

Do those accusations aimed at Liverpool unsettling Harries also apply to Coventry City unsettling Kane Smith when he was on trial from Hitchin Town?
