football is about passion. players shouldn't expect office conditions.

although works vice versa and player should stand up for themselves if feel harshly criticised.

He's on loan, not our player he's going to get the hump, just one of the problems of filling your team with loanees.

I'll change it slightly then, although you are correct.
If my Sunday league manager (of years gone by) came at me like that I wouldn't be able to play the next week.

Probably a good job you're not getting paid for being a Sunday league footballer then.

Although if you are, where do I sign?

Football is completely different though. Definitely one of those situations where a "if this was in my work place" comparison isn't equitable.

Exactly. Look at Pardew the other week.

SP is right for giving the bollockings if players are not pulling their weight or going through the motions. We need players to be hungry. It isn't good enough.

Look at Alex Ferguson and the 'Hairdryer treatment'. Aim high, have standards in place along with a philosophy and then eventually when engrained into the players, will be a successful combination.

Have any of you ever taken this from a superior at Work .
I never have or will ,I'd rather go skint and have done on that basis.

Look at the expression of the Oppo manager In the Background.

Not having that at all...if you were on a professional footballers wage and were paid to perform then I bet you would take it occasionally!

But Fergie is the manager of the biggest club in the world, you can't compare to our situation, does Chuba respect Cov or SP I doubt it. Another waste of a loanee even if he was free.

But Manchester United wasn't the biggest club in the world when Alex Ferguson took charge were they? Far from it. He made them the biggest. Why? Because of his standards, style and philosophy which led to years of success. I am not comparing Man United to Coventry City but I think managers can learn from the greatest. I do not see a problem why are manager demands hunger and commitment and desire to win for the club. If your there and you don't then off you trot basically.

Nah I know you don't have to justify, was just saying. Chuba's not a lower 3rd tier player though is he, I'm sure he is on more money than the rest being at Arsenal. If he wasn't pulling his weight when he was here to do a job, while Wilson is running his arse off, I can understand Pressleys anger.

Your situation is a little different as you are a freelancer and you can decide who and when you work for, and therefore (I assume) aren't contracted in the same sort of way, know what I mean? If your boss on that particular job had a stern word and said come on I KNOW you can do better here, now please just fucking do it otherwise the rest of us lads are screwed, surely you wouldn't have a hissy fit?

For all we know, anyway, it could've been motivational.
Pressley: COME ON CHUBA LOOK LIVELY
Chuba: But he's all over me keeps kicking the shit out of me!
Pressley [pointing]: WELL YOU GET THE FUCK OUT THERE AND KICK HIM BACK THEN TWICE AS HARD WEE MAN

(lol)

Yeah, and don't let that red card and 3 match ban tell you it's wrong!
