Baker didn't look too bright when he came off.

If injured for next week and Bell is still out I can't see we have many options at all.

Thomas. Nimely pushed wide, Christie.

Can't see you can play Deegan, Clingan or Norwood there.

Thought Thomas was dreadful today. Eakin described him as rusty. Completely unfit would be a better description I think. Get the lad some reserve games for fooks sake. Today he was a passenger.

yer agreed,

damn you 18 year old local lad who has played far more this season than he really should have....

I'd give him a free transfer

4-3-3 with Nimely and Sheff wide would be my choice.

Christie is a centre half playing right back - I wouldn't play him right mid. I remember trying it with fox and it didn't work.

Go 433 or play nimely wide and Cody up front.

Well that's what I'd go for.

Time to go for some wins.

When baker came off though I'd have put Christie right midfield...Thomas just couldn't get into it and we looked a real threat down the right before then.

Thomas looked totally unfit. The lad needs some reserve games under his belt. He couldn't even get a foothold in the game.

Not sure how people can make up where players natural positions are. Christie has played right mid, and right back in his youth and senior career. That is all.

Can you tell me when he has played right mid in his senior career? To my mind he has played right and left back, unless I'm missed something here.

Why can Deagan not play there?

Christie is a big lad with pace and a reasonable delivery, I would think that playing wide midfield would be up his street.
No worries with tracking back or defensive duties, headers? no probs (he is a six footer) and always looks a threat when going forward.
Would rather see him starting his runs from an advanced position with Clarke overlapping, I think that the two of them would cause all sorts of problems for any opposition defence.
We need Deegan as a tackler/spoiler in the middle and not wide.

i get what your going at but that would make the right sidevery young meaning they might make silly errors so they will be a target.

We can't score away therefore it may help to put more players on the pitch away who might score! Therefore if baker is out play nimely on rm macca lm with Cody and platt up top and deegan in for clingan.

Baker didn't look too clever did he. Any news on that? Real shame as well, he was giving Spector all sorts of problems.

I think the most likely option would be to go back to the diamond, but I would rather Clarke Right mid with Christie Right back.

I remember Clarke playing right midfield away at Cardiff last year - truly awful!

Exactly - playing fullback and wide midfield is completely different.

I thought it strange too, especially as Conor Thomas looked shockingly unfit.
