Most may know the Red Bull Racing F1 boss, Christian Horner, is a Coventry City fan. If anyone has just been watching the Sky F1 coverage, he's been collared by Martin Brundle on the grid at the Spanish Grand Prix and has "jokingly" admitted he's just been chatting to Neymar about joining Cov next season. The comment obviously gets us on the world stage again.

But what is the daftest plug we've ever had from a celeb ?

Don’t know know if it’s the daftest but the one I want to see again is Amanda Holden wearing a City shirt in bed.

Christian Horner, Eddie Jordan, Richard Keys etc....are all "celebrity" fans who claim to support Coventry City, but has anyone ever seen them at a game?

That was revealed during a Gavin & Stacey Christmas Special and Coventry Live actually ran that as a story. How much must they be struggling for stories if they having to print that?

I think the more important question here is why were you watching F1? Surely there was a more interesting wet wall you could watch dry?

I find Keys support of us utterly cringeworthy, he's probably only second to Piers Morgan for dickhead celebrity supporters. Both only give a shit or comment when it's going bad and want to be a 'voice of the fans' and neither ever actually attend.

You're right about morgan being a dickhead but I was under the impression he did actually go to the Emirates.

What would the Coventry Evening Telegraph do for Sport Headlines if it was not for this site??? I recon if we started a rumour that the Queen farted the Sky Blue song it would appear as a headline:joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful:

Maybe he's secretly a Gillingham fan, as the only game I've evèr seen him at was in the Casino before the welcome back to the Ricoh game

He was in an away fans pub, the Drum and Monkey, at Portman Rd quite a few years back. He was with a few mates of his and Im sure they were all wearing inappropriate collars and ties in what was the roughest, dirtiest pub I've ever been to. Dare say there are worse ones out there but I've yet to visit them.

The guy is a dick but I’m going to go out on a limb and suggest that someone who’s job when he lived in the U.K. was presenting live football coverage for a living was probably at work on a Saturday afternoon.

There's no live games on a Saturday afternoon.
He did the Sunday games if I'm not mistaken.

It was a personal experience.

EDIT: That’s a lie. It was in a TV show a good few years ago.

Had he said this previously, I would've asked him as I attended the Spanish GP....well Thurs-Sat anyway. I was based at one of the teams motorhomes for a couple of days in the paddock and walked past Horner on a couple of occasions.

Would've asked him that or if Ginger really did get it on with Scary.

Couldn’t tell you if he did or didn’t to be honest, just assumed he worked Saturdays being a football presenter. Like I said, the guy is a dick and the last time I saw him on TV he was doing breakfast tv.

She's in Coventry all this week doing a play at the Belgrade! I remember her from Game On and I think she did some rugby comedy film (which I only remember cos she got her norks out)
