I'd have Wilder here if Robins went there.

Although didn't he turn us down years ago when he was at Northampton?

Why not? A club with lots of potential and really supportive owner. I could see this one happening unfortunately.

Not a patient owner, geographically inconvenient, fans who are quick to turn toxic.

He likes a job relatively near to his home.

So he can get a cab or lift home every afternoon and evening when he is pissed.

He's got something of the Micky Adams about him, another Sheffield lad, Sheffield Utd fan who talks about himself in the third person

Think this was always inevitable, never seemed happy there. Excellent manager though, would not be surprised to see him appointed at Bournemouth soon.

Robins longest serving manager in Championship by a distance id guess. Right up there in the whole football league.

How much of that supposedly £25million for Spence and Tavarnier did he actually get to spend?

A lot thought we should never have signed him

Some thought we should have kept biamou rather than sign him

Unless a premier league club offer big money - which would then help the situation enormously- we have to hang onto him even up to the final January before his contract expires

Surely not one actually said we should have kept Biamou instead?

They supposedly spent around £7m in the summer. From what I understand Wilder was not given final say on signings though & this has been brewing ever since.

I thought defeat Saturday would spell the end of Wilder at ‘Boro, my opinion despite his good time at Sheffield United he wasn’t that good they soon got shot of him. I’d put Sean Dyche as good shout to replace him.

Lots on here giving it the large about moneybags boro best chairman blah blah blah.

Their fans must be going mental. Hes pocketed £18m spent zilch.

Like most clubs in this division in serious financial trouble if you cant re invest.

I don’t know why but I think it feels good when you’re the team that puts the final nail in a manager’s coffin.

Makes me think of dispatching Mark Hughes when we were L2 and Stoke were PL

he's spent around £230m over the years - they have a loan outstanding to him of £120 million which he is showing zero intent to call in - he has pocketed nothing - the losses the prior year were £30 million

Boro have a DoF and the manager has to be happy to work under that model. Wilder apparently wasn't (despite being fully aware when signing!).

IF Mark got offered the job I think he might take it i've always thought Steve Gibson comes across as a guy you could work with .He has been prepared to put money into the club and to be honest the way he comes across thought he would have given Chris Wilder more time to turn it around after all 8 points from 4th this time of the season is nothing that isnsurmountable.I think there must be other issues

Steve Gibson's one of the best, most supportive chairmen around. Of course you'd consider it if you were approached.

Anyway, Wilder's had a tremendous record everywhere bar Boro, which whilst maybe a tick in the reason-not-to-take-the-job, is also why he'd be top of my list of Robins did decide he'd fancy a new challenge.

The way the article’s written it’s like he lost against East Stirling under 5s. Really is embarrassing being bottom

Doubt it very much, Robins isn’t an instant hit manager takes time and patience to build his teams and squads just look how many changes to our squad there has been since he re-joined, Middlesbrough fans won’t give him that time.

Is it me or have the sackings in The Championship been a lot higher than normal at this stage of the season?

Cardiff
Mboro
Stoke
Watford
Huddersfield
Blackburn ?
Birmingham?
Hull

There's probably more, but you can see how twitchy clubs are. Incidentally, MR is over 3 years ahead of his nearest rival, Gary Rowett, in terms of longevity!

That Stoke game was brilliant, they were so bad.
I remember the moment we went 1-0 up, some of their fans immediately started fighting each other in the away stand.
Great Grimmer goal too

Got to be fair on your last point having read a bit about Wilders sacking on 1 of their forums. Our fans may moan but at least MR has been given time. The way they behave he was a dead man walking for about a month now.Do think the next manager had better have some instant solutions otherwise he won't last long.On wilders leaving do think from what i've read Kieran Scott is a lot of the problem there.

Yes. I rate Alex Mowatt in particular very highly. Before he went off I forgot he was even on.

I thought the way Chris Wilder selected and setup his team on Saturday he was looking to get sacked if you ask me! Bournemouth next methinks

Wilder is a sour faced, miserable prick. Absolutely delighted we got him binned.

The 'Hughes Out' banner appeared right after Willis scored, then briefly disappeared after the penalty equaliser, then reappeared with some flares after Grimmer's winner. If memory serves McNulty really should have made it 2 or 3 before half time.

Was also a game where a press photographer had to go back several rows with a picture of McNulty because nobody in the crowd knew who he was.

Suggestions Cooper to be axed before the weekend so I suspect he’d be the obvious choice

Sean Dyche will end up at Forest. I could see Cooper at Boro though.
