Go back to non league.
Not quick enough
Not strong enough
Panics
Not good enough

Gave away stupid possession which led to their fee kick/goal

Before that there was only one winner

Played well first half. Wasn't especially bad I thought.

Martin and burge were worse. And Phillips and Barton.

P.s looked like Martin who gave away ball.in build up to fk winner to me.

Have said all along. Barton is a luxury player. If you play him you need protection around him.

He has something going for him, but coming from non league into full time competitive football over half way through a season was always going to be difficult for anyone. Even harder than bringing in bench earners from other league sides IMO!

Wasn't our worst player today, but his fitness and pace is posing an issue for me.

Port Vale spotted his vulnerability and switched Marshall to his side

The formation with Samuel and nouble on either wing gave the two fullbacks zero protection. Marshall was left constantly 1v1 with them.

Yep, he was getting no joy against Philips, so simply changed sides.

Some teams can "Afford" to carry 3 or even 4 having bad days. We CANT. We don't ever seem to come off the pitch without being able to criticise 6 or more.

22 points was what tim thought we might need pre Mowbray. Good luck with that.

Definitely. Port vale aren't pretty, but they have 12 more points than us because they do the basics well especially in terms of game management.

They did do the basics well. they had strength and pace about them and they chased and harried and worked hard all game. that can take you a long way as a team.

You want to send him back because he's had one bad game out of four?

It's like watching Brazil...... (in certain players heads)

Right now we need fighters. Tony can bring beauty later. Smile fans.

6 point plan for next year.

Crazy isn't it. I went to Sheffield United and Barnsley and he had decent games in both. He was alright in first half too today. Clearly still catching up bit still our best option at left back. Seems like a comment from someone who doesn't got to many games.

I think we will be lucky to get 6 points.

I thought he's been decent when I've seen him. Alright for first half today. If I didn't know the players and was playing "guess who's come from non league" I probably wouldn't choose him.

I thought Stokes generally had a decent game, but marred it with a huge and very costly blunder. He’ll be good at this level when he acclimatises, but we can’t afford to be nurturing people in this situation. And as Stupot said on another thread, the tactics (both before and after the change of formation) left both full backs repeatedly exposed.

I was baffled that Pressley saw fit to let Blair Adams go, because he was the best left back we’ve had for a number of years. Just one of many poor decisions that leave us fighting to avoid dropping into the 4[SUP]th[/SUP] Division.

For goodness sake give the lad a chance

If anyone needs to go get rid of the Boro lad, now he is useless and totally not interested at least Stokes want to build his career

How can you single him out out of that team, the lad has been put in a defence that's been poor all season. Yes he's come from non league an his fitness is not the same as some pro players but was he shit last week when he got up an scored.... Was he any worse than jo'b today, not in my opinion. Now jo'b is a so called pro player but his positional play is poor, not captain material or motivator. Many times today arron Philips was in a good position on the overlap an jo'b never played him in. Out these 2 jo'b looked the non league player

Why? He is a far better defender than Haynes

Pretty much everyone is baffled by every decision that Pressley made. He signed mostly crap, but kept the crap and let the few good ones leave.

No on today's performance Haynes is a class above that.
Haynes pushing on would have hemmed Marshall back. Marshall was class. Stokes was well off the pace

No I wasnt. However as I haven't seen Haynes play decent defensively all season then I fail to see how you can slate him. Played well against MK Dons and again it required a lot of defending.

Sorry I think Haynes is rubbish - there I said it.

Or marshall would have exploited the space left behind haynes as haynes pushed up.

Which is exactly what would have happened - Haynes is woefully slow at recovery once possession is lost.

You really needed to see Stokes today.

Also you have bloody cheek in the other thread dismissing my opinion as wumming regarding a match I was at and you were not!

You must have super powers to know that the bobbling pitch caused us to hoof today ( through the radio)

Stokes was rubbish today as well.

He had a 5 yard head start on a Port Vale player and was beaten to the ball on the touchline as he simply gave up.

No I don't because I know what you are trying to do. How did Nimeley play today?

I cannot comment on his previous games, but from what i seen today he is not a Leauge 1 player.

He reminded me of Chris Hussey.
Bad touch, lump it forward, gives it away, dives in when not needed.

Im not botherd if this comes across harsh Leauge 2 is on the way if performances like today are accepted.
