Only your opinion! Appeared to do very well with Wales, that’s mine. Beginning to wonder about you.

Done very well with Wales until Bale was injured or Ramsey was suspended!
Average manager. Took on somebody else's Wales squad that peaked whilst he was in charge of them. It'll be another 50-60 years until Wales manage a success like that again, regardless of who manages them!

Sorry - nice bloke, average manager (based on CCFC time). Will be amazed if he turns Sunderland around. I am with CJ om this one.

He was abysmal with us and although good with Wales he is an average club manager. So it is a match made in heaven going to Sunderland !

Ransom sacked Dowie and replaced him with Coleman. Bad move.

Awful manager but couldn' be more pleased. Hope he takes them down and we go up just for all those who said they'd never play us again
Hahahahaha

Are you on some kind of hallucinogenic?

The clown guided this team to 17th in the Championship. Partly down to including numbers 2 & 25 in it.

The Euros were good (lucky?) but he then oversaw a campaign which resulted in them finishing third in this group. Some say ours’ was a walk in the park. This one is even easier. They didn’t even make the play offs. Massive failure.

Aaah Chris Coleman, Gareth Bale gets him to a semi final and he thinks he’s great.... delusional self publicist.

He’ll finish Sunderland off unless he’s convinced Bale up north

Regardless of what I think of skills as a manager* he needs his head checking taking the Sunderland job, total basket case of a club. Colman has some stock currently and would walk into a host of decent jobs if they became vacant.

* I recon he got lucky taking over a good Wales squad under sad circumstances. Guided a decent Cov squad to obscurity, as ok at a well funded Fulham.. average at best

We might well see them both next season if he's still in his job. We'll probably get the blame from them for taking them down again due to him being here before all things being equal.
I will never forget the capitulation on the last day at Charlton when we fluked staying up with a decent side.

I'd counter with it was Gary Speed who laid the foundations for Wales success. Coleman inherited that squad.

Coleman is without doubt high up on the list of the worst managers I've seen at City. Dour, boring football that got nowhere near the best out of the squad he had. If it hadn't been for a superb display by Steve Simmonsen, it would have been us down with that squad. A complete waste of a manager.

Didn't Coleman spend a lot of time here bonking around and going on the piss ? Thought only window cleaners had that reputation ? Oops !

And eating, he did a lot of eating too! My mate used to see him in Vialli's a lot in Leamington, after going on the piss, obviously.

I agree with the comments about city but can you really inherit a national side? Maybe a style of play but as yo7 can call who the hell you want up who qualifies then not sure on that one.

It’s a weird move and shows how good the wales job is in comparison to club teams in England. I think some managers are more suited to national management than club and he is one of them. If it was any other club I would wish him the best but I hope the cunts go down

I was taking about what he’d gone on to do since with the National Team.

Had a good/lucky Euros and then failed to even make the play offs in the easiest qualifying group possible straight after?

Did he really do that well with Wales? Qualified for the European Championship, not that difficult when it had been expanded to 24 teams.
Failed to qualify for the World Cup or even the qualification play offs.

When you compare the quality of the Welsh to the Republic, you'd have to say he failed. Massively.

I've posted before about this on another thread a while ago. If anyone else listens to the Magic Sponge podcasts with Jimmy Bullard and other ex-footballers you'll know exactly what kind of character Cookie is. I wouldn't have him anywhere near my football club.
