Sounds very much to me, reading between the lines, that the club would prefer to remain at the Ricoh ? To me that's the sensible option anyway if terms can be agreed.

Isn't that what they wanted all the time, its just they didn't want to pay anything for it.
Council should have given it to CCFC with a covenant that the owners were custodians and not the owners of the ground, and that all profits had to go to the football team.

Chris Anderson is sounding like a Sisu puppet already.

Let's see how long he stays at the club.

You can't argue with that at all, that would have been the best thing to do. Strict conditions so it's all about ccfc.

Rome wasn't built in day. (and neither will our stadium be!)

And I think a lot of us were saying that at the time. LAST is spot on, that would have been the ideal solution which why I think the sale to Wasps was totally unnecessary.

I think you are in a much better position to negotiate when you have a succesful team in the pitch. When you invest in that squad to a top 8-6 budget for your league and it pays off.
When it look like you interested in the team doing well. IMO that gives you a better negotiating position as the landlords can see benefits to them as well. Negotiations on the back drop of poor results diminishing crowds, relegations and rent strikes mistrusts was never going to work. Fingers crossed this fresh a approach on the backdrop of success on the pitch. Football men running the club side of things. Can tempt The landlord with the potential that this club can attract.

I'm not convinced the club has decided on a preference for where it will call home. To me, Chris Anderson comes across as being someone who is pragmatic and isn't personally emotionally burdened by what has happened over the last few years. I think he will complete a thorough analysis of the current situation and arrive at a completely rational recommendation as to what the club should do - whether the owners (who are personally emotionally burdened by what has happened over the past few years) follow his recommendation is a different matter.

Lot of fine words but little substance so far. Just my opinion but it seems there is an element of back tracking on previous positions held by the club/owners going on. Not a dig at Andersen to be honest he is new to the job still

Of course he must do what is best for the club, that's his job but also its one of the duties for any director.

I am concerned that the club doesn't seem to understand the terms of the current agreement or is he just saying he needed to find out? Isn't what he has said just basic negotiation? Isn't it just the same situation it has always been?

Here is a deadline for you. The accounts need to be filed at Companies House by 28th February 2016. To do that the auditors have to sign off on the going concern. Where we are playing in the year (+) to 28/02/2017 (+) is key to that. If they are not filed then FL impose an embargo. Would seem to imply the clock is ticking to get at least a short term deal by 28/02/2016 (or convince ACL to activate the +2 part of the deal at least)

Short term are there really any alternatives to staying at the Ricoh? - seriously, moving outside of Coventry like before isn't is it?

Hope he can say something more definite or informative very soon.

Now that would have been great.

Probably, but aren’t SISU are playing their usual tricks of leaving agreement till the last possible moment, negotiating aggressively and threatening to leave if they don't get their way. Same old, same old.

However there is a chink of light in that Fisher seems to be winding down his involvement, hopefully he will be gone in the New Year.

I despise Fisher like most us I assume, and would love to see him go. Do we really believe though that he sets the strategy and has real decision making powers? somehow I don't think so.
This is why TM insisted on meetings with Joy..he knew who called the shots

Of course it was unnecessary but when 2 sides won't speak and nether would use a middle man (we did volunteer) then you always end up with one side shitting on the other.
Both were to proud and too stupid to bite the bullet and make the first move.

I find the Anderson appointment intriguing. He's clearly not an idiot and you would have thought would have done some research before agreeing to come here so he seems a level above a SISU stooge.

Have SISU backed themselves into a corner where they will actually have to do something about a new ground?

At any rate he is making all the right noises and gets a thumbs up from me for wanted to mend bridges with the likes of the SBT. As ever with SISU actions speak louder than words so we'll need to wait and see what, if anything, actually happens.
