Just watching highlights of todays JPT final.
A supporter just commented how today is the 4th time they have played at the new wembley, twice in the play off finals and twice in the JPT final.
I'd love to see CCFC there, just once

To be fair I wished I'd supported them since 1972 and not CCFC -- my memories would be so richer.
35,000 at Wembley. I cant see anything other than us selling at least that on our own if we got there for anything like this
Interesting that you mention the JPT final, a Peterborough fan rang up a talk show today saying that they should have held the final at the Ricoh as it was impossible to get an atmosphere going with 35k in Wembley
The comment about possibly playing the Chesterfield v Peterbrough game at the Ricoh is a valid one.
It would have been a full house, a lot closer and less expensive for both sets of fans.
But it is too common sense for the football authorities. The fans, oh them...
And besides, the FA have to make money out of Wembley.
Another example of the London thinking in this country. And the lack of thought about fans.
That phrase keeps cropping up....'Broken football.'
How gutted would they be to play at the ricoh instead of wembley in a cup final
Nick, a two thirds empty stadium is not good for atmosphere. Us City fans have long experience of it. We should know.
I've been to a League 2 play off final at Wembley, there were 58,000 in there, the empty seats didn't help.
Wembley is not a great viewing experience. So many of the seats are up in the sky, as mine was.
Playing the game at the Ricoh, or Villa Park, even Leicester or MK Dons, Manchester City even, with a full house. Infinitely better for the players and fans. On a cost level and atmosphere level.
Just a money making exercise from the FA.
I am sure I read somewhere that the Ricoh was being considered for some of the play-offs from the non-league not sure if it was the conference or others. I don't think the league Nuneaton are in use Wembley for the play-off final but might be wrong.
It might have changed, but it certainly wasn't Wembley in the past.
I saw Shrewsbury get promoted back to the League by beating Aldershot at Stoke.
It is Chesterfield FC, not Chesterfield Town!
