Burge - 8 - Played really well, much more confident when coming for the ball and taking it. Did one in the first half where he had no right to win it (and would have been in the shit if he didn't)
Sterry -
Page - 7 - Played well I thought, put some really good crosses into the box. Bonus Point for the tackle on Evans
Willis - 8 - Thought he handled Evans well, roughed him up a bit and a goal
Turnbull - 6 - A bit ropey still, but a clean sheet
Bigi - 6 - Started off a bit shoddy, awful at corners and set piece
Stevenson - 7 - Doesn't look out of place at all in midfield now, has a knack of taking the ball of players easily.
Jones - 6 - A few step overs, a couple of dives but nothing really of note.
Reid - 7 - First half was quiet but the second half he made some great runs again to take the pressure off.
Tudgay - 5 - Really not sure the 2 slowest strikers really work.
Agyei - 5 - Pointless him being on the pitch, I hear that Chesterfield want to sign him as a centre half as every time he got it, his first touch cleared it away.

Rose - 7 - Wasn't on long enough to build up a high rating but as soon as he came on you could see him making runs in behind defenders
Sordell - 6 - Wasn't on too long either, but refreshing to see somebody actually moving up front. Held it up and laid it off well.
Lamieras - 5 - Didn't really do too much

Bigi 4? HAHA.

Worked his socks off. Him and Stevenson were let down by the team selection tonight.

Both given 5 for tudgay, I'd have gone 3 maximum,

First half whenever they looked forward they saw Agyei stood still with his hands in his sleeves.

Think that is a pretty perfect summary.

Burge, was great tonight held onto everything, is handling is much improved. Must also mention his bail out for the Willis mistake in the first half which was terrible, but he then made up for it with the point blank block after.
Page- impressive tonight- gets forward at the right moments, but is a much better defender than Haynes, although i do feel he's been had done by.
Stevenson, again impressive. Always seems to be involved.
Jones was poor and think it has been summarised by most on radio in that he needs to stop doing the same thing and cutting inside, he needs to start getting the ball in the box.

he does that thing where he tries to make it look like he's trying to close down the defender but really he's not trying at all.
He won't ever make it at a club run by Sean Dyche with his work rate.

Tudgay was terrible and i'm normally a supporter of his but the formation didn't work, which meant the two strikers dropped deeper and deeper.

Just out of interest why would you say Bigi was worst player on the pitch?

And for Turnbull for the first goal - after a corner that actually cleared the first defender, Turnbull had the presence of mind to slide the ball to Willis to score

I felt sorry for Tudgay tonight. He didnt have a great game but he had to do the thinking and the running for two. Agyei was motionless for large parts of the game.

Nah I think Turnbull got the pass, but Rose went up for the header that led it going to Turnbull (I think).

I've never seen a winger (Reid) beat his full back so much and it come to absolutely nothing. He's one of those that looks good but produces the square root of fuck all.

It was weird, he would beat his man, gain some ground and then sort of start walking.

I couldn't go tonight (season ticket holder and first game I've missed).. I came on here after seeing the score expecting it to be full of praise. Can't believe such low marks across the board and yet we won 2-0... Can't work out if that Is that a good thing or a bad thing!?

We were awful apart from a 10 minute spell and Chesterfield were a lot worse than us. That about sums the game up.

We're building on from TM's fine work though.

how can you consistently beat 2 men with ease and then fuck up the final pass to your team mate who's less than 10 yards away?

Page 5? Fair enough for the sending off but he's only gonna miss a cup game and other than that he played well even set up the goal

Can't believe y'all surprised about reid.
Does everything a top premier league player does but has next to nil end product.

The only thing is, he will drag defenders all over the place and tire them out over 90 minutes. the 3 guys on him looked dead in the last 10 minutes, and they each received yellow cards for fouls then too.

It was no surprise that our goals came through that side of defence later on.

Let's face it, we could have drawn that, they came here with a 5 man defence that never moved, and we had 2 in midfield for 70 minutes.
The addition of rose in the middle freed everyone up.
Unbelievable that bigi has been getting low scores, he and Stevenson had to do Jones and Reid's Work for 70 minutes while also using to pass to the 2 slowest forwards i've seen.

Burge 8 Best game in the shirt, hats off
Willis 7 would have an 8 but for 'that ' mistake
Turnbull 7 steady
Steery 7 steady
Page 7 steady
Bigi 7 unfairly viewed
Stevenson 7 what a star
Reid 5/7 needs to press all game
Jones 3 loan out?
Tudgay 1 is no longer a Footballer
Agyei 5 one man against five

Wouldn't say Chesterfield came to defend at all, I thought they were the better team for periods and tried to get at us.

They were fucking horrific though.

I'd stretch to a 6 but no more. Reid only just got a 6. The whole left side was anonymous in thr first half. Yes it was a good assist, so OK 6.

Tbh, it doesn't matter what game he misses, 2-0 in injury time on a booking that foul was utter stupidity.

It was a car crash. The front 4 really didn't do a damn thing and left bigi and Stevenson with all the Work to do
Chesterfield had 5 men in defence all game, that's as negative as i've seen a team up here all season, but our front 4 made it easy else them to bring it out through the middle , it was always 9 against 2 when they broke, we made it easy for them
Bet they couldn't believe our luck.

Why the hell does Venus mess with the middle like that?

They defintely weren't defensive. Their wing backs pushed really high first half. I think we should drop this whole "teams come here and park the bus" act. Because they don't.

Burge was the best I remember seeing him, he came flying out to claim a few crosses you would expect a keeper to stay rooted for and dealt with every one of them. Reid gave their rightback a bit of a game although there were times when he was hesitant to take anyone on and his touch was wayward, although the latter seemed to go for everyone on the pitch. Willis gave the ball away for their most dangerous chance but made up for it with that block, is that his first goal for us too?

First half they had the majority of the attacking play, looked threatning but their lack of quality was evident.

Second half our wingers pushed up and put their wing backs into retreat and we managed to keep them locked into a back 5.
