Allsop - 6 - Didnt have too much to do but did what he needed to properly
Pennington - 4 - Yes he gets loads of space and people say pass him the ball because he is in that space but when he does get it he never actually puts a good ball in. Nearly gave them a goal in 1st half too
Martin - 6 - Didn't do too much wrong, good shot towards the end too
Webster - 5 - Wasn't that bad today!
Haynes - 5 - Got forward but did give the ball away a lot, crossing wasn't as good as usual
Nouble - 6 - Ran at defenders, some good touches and nearly cost us towards the end from messing about and losing it. Probably had more shots today than our team in the last month
Fleck - 5 - Doesn't look to shoot much from outside the box, went close in the first half so thought he would be hungry, second half had a few chances to ping one!
Thomas - 5 - He wasn't as defensive as Finch / Barton and did look to go forward, but still gives it away cheaply
JOB - 5 - Ran a lot, shouted at Pennington for giving it away then gave it away just as bad a few minutes later
Madine - 8 - won a lot in the air, hit the post, some nice flicks and touches, took a boot in the face and ran his socks off. We need to keep him!
Jackson - 6 - Some good touches and nice flicks, his pace seems to be improving too, was geeing the fans up towards the end

Thomas made some mistakes but was always looking for a forward pass.

Jackson could have been a 7, did get stuck in.

Deffo want to see a lot more of him and Madine up top.

Thomas was frustrating and could have cost us a couple of goals but did look forward, sometimes panicked into passing it forward.

Thomas is going to be essential in our midfield, keeps things ticking over and always looking for the return pass. Jackson looked lively and nouble when he could be arsed did well. Pennington, haynes and fleck were all awful. Get Willis or phillips in at right back asap

I agree about Thomas, I would much rather have him than Finch but he does have a habit of giving the ball away too much. Maybe with more game time it will stop.

The thing is when he lost the ball with a stray pass is was because they pressed him and fleck nor o brien gave him an option to pass to them so rather than pass back to the CB's he tried a ball forward which isn't his strong point.

no way was jackson better than madine today. although jackson played well i though madine was excellent, full of endeavour and won pretty much everything in the air plus he hit the woodwork. he was man of the match

Fair enough. I'm happy to give them both a 7. Not sure how LJC can give Nouble a 7, was anonymous second half.

Allsop 7 - Did nothing wrong, made some good saves
Pennington 5 - too slow and hesitant going forward
Webster 5 - Mistake in him every game, don't trust him at all
Martin 6 - Solid enough
Haynes 5 - Didn't do much
Fleck 5 - Turgid as per usual, too slow and always looks for the easy option
Thomas 5 - Touch is shocking, gives it away too easily
O'Brien 5 - Hate his attitude, blames team mates for everything and never seems to take responsibility for his own mistakes.
Nouble 6 - Decent enough, tries too many tricks when he doesn't need to
Madine 7 - Big fan, we need him to stay. Good game today as per.
Jackson 7 - One of his best games for us, more like that and he might start to justify us signing him

Allsop - 7 - Made a sharp save in the first half, and it was pretty much all he had to do.

Pennington - 5 - A couple of sloppy passes early on nearly let them in. Always an outlet on the right, but the end product is rarely there.
Martin - 7 - Looked good again.
Webster - 7 - Playing well at the moment.
Haynes - 5 - Was better after half time. In the first half he looked terrified to go forward. Haynes --> Webster must have been the most common pass combination in the game.

O'Brien - 4 - Pissed me off. Shout at people if you like, but make sure you're making positive contributions first, please.
Fleck - 6 - Better than he's been recently (i.e he completed some passes for the first time since mid-October). Still think him and Thomas is our best midfield 2.
Thomas - 6 - It was nice to have a midfielder who will play a quick pass into the strikers' feet. Started most of our promising attacks.
Nouble - 5 - Ruins his good work by holding onto the ball for way, way too long. Could easily have cost us a goal by getting caught on the ball just outside our box.

Jackson - 7 - Looked really bright. Starting to look like the player he thought we were signing. His flick to Madine in the second half was very classy.
Madine - 7 - Worked hard, hit the post, and adds nuisance value. We just need to get more service to him.

I thought we were the better side, and this time were genuinely unlucky not to win.

Cannot believe the ratings fleck gets on here. Not at his best today, but still very tidy. Best CM today by miles. Good to see Thomas back, couple of errors but great physicality compared to Barton. Thought Haynes struggled today. Webster had his best game for a long time, won everything in the air.

Very glad to see Thomas back imo far superior to finch and superior to Barton ......not sure how those two have got ahead of him tbh....

Nouble can win you a game by himself but you have to take the bad if you want the good, I'd rather see him giving the ball away by trying to be positive and create something rather than constantly going sideways or backwards like most of the team.

I pretty much agree with you. One thing I think that Allsop has turned it around for himself when he first came in he was awfull is now getting better game by game.

Allsop 6 - Made a good save
Pennington 5 - Prefer Willis or Phillips
Martin 7 - Very tidy
Webster 6 - Caught out for pace often
Haynes 5 - Looks half the player he was
O'Brien 4 - Fell over and moaned loads
Fleck 4 - Postures, but no end product
Thomas 6 - Better with him back in
Nouble 6 - Good first half, dipped in 2nd
Madine 7 - Good link play and workrate
Jackson 6.5 - Promising performance, needs through balls though!!!!

I have no problem with that, but dallying 20 yards from our goal line with 4 men on him and giving the ball away, when he had the easy option of laying it back to haynes is not acceptable.

He got found out second half, partly down to not having a left foot, so was predictable cutting inside. Game of 2 halves for him today, he was as bad second half as he was good in the first half,

If the finance is there I would keep him, but would rather go for a proper left winger someone like petrasso, with Madine and jackson up top, with Nouble being back up,

It's definitely a balancing act for Nouble between taking the easy option and trying to make something happen, too many of our players are too eager to take the easy option and shift responsibility on to someone else when they themselves should be taking responsibility. Nouble isn't one of these players to take the easy way out but sometimes the easy option is the right option which is what he needs to learn.

Part of the reason I would like to keep him is that I don't have faith in Pressley to sign the right players in January. I think Nouble has qualities that his teammates don't which is also why I think think we are a better team with him in it as he adds a new weapon to our arsenal. Could we get someone with similar attributes to Nouble but better? Quite possibly, do I have faith in Pressley to identify such a player? Nope, he'd use the money saved on Nouble to sign two more Tudgay's or Jim O'Brien's
