Maybe they don’t care anymore. As pointed out, hell get far better coaching which is a plus. Are you taking hit rate as a percentage or just a raw number? If it’s the later it’s meaningless with the sheer number of players they have.Mentioned this on another thread. Chelsea have the best hit rate for players going through their system in Europe. They have more ex academy players aged 25+ playing in the top 5 leagues here and in the top 2 leagues in the 10 best countries across the continent. That’s in terms of total numbers and percentage.

Also top 5 leagues is an incredibly wide range. If one of our players coming though ended up at Solihull I don’t think many on here would be claiming it was a huge success and certainly not comparable with playing for Chelsea!
