on the plus side, we arent missing westwood . he made lots of mistakes last year - aswell as great saves, but so far, we would be no better off with him than without

I think he'd have caught the ones that Murphy palmed away, and commanded his area better by claiming more crosses. Not sure he made that many errors-he was wrong footed and slow to react on a couple of long-rangers, but he didn't exactly chuck the ball in his net. Something "Teflon" Murphy looked capable of in the early games.

Some people are also forgetting that he tended to make a stunning save every game (although not you sbs!). So far we've had one stunning save apiece from Dunn and Murphy all season. Just 'cos Westwood is gone, he's suddenly just another 'keeper, rather than the one who was in the top 2-3 in our division for the past 3 years?

i dont think anyone is going over the top about Dunn, i just think people are able to see already he is more skillful technically than Murphy and they are quite happy about that, as Murphy has not had a great start at the club in many peoples opinions.

I did not forget Westwood's saves - but other keepers make saves, and like Westwood also make mistakes
What I am saying, is that we have a solid back unit, which has the second least goals conceded in the division
I am fairly confident we would not have conceded fewer with Westwood in goal - and although not a goalkeeping expert, The new lads have strengths where Westwood has weaknesses eg managing defence/ crosses/ kicking and vice versa shot stopping/ one on ones

Westwood was a very good keeper in our division
Murphy/Dunn may not be quite at that level, but to date we have not missed Westwood - or do you not agree non league!

Ipswich are after a keeper to sit on the bench, we should offer them Lee Burge or Ireland. Get one of them off the wage bill for a few months. Anyone know why we have 4 keepers in the squad?

burge is not ready - academy keeper
ireland is seen as a prospect, but at the moment too many injuries to rely on

therefore 2 fit and ready keepers

He's in the squad, if not ready he should be in the academy squad

I disagree, I think we are missing Westwood in that he'd have dealt much better with the goals we've conceded. I'm not impressed with Murphys handling and think he has parried the ball back into danger where Westwood would have caught it or pushed it further away. I also think he did command his area very well (whereas others seem to think this was a weakness of Westwoods? I can't agree with that). There have been a lot of corners against us which have resulted in opponents heading over with Murphy rooted to his line. Westwood used to come for them, and I don't remember him dropping one.

Where I will agree with you is on distribution-Murphy is one of the better chuckers of a ball in our division, and is more accurate a kicker than Westwood too. Dunn didn't throw much on Saturday, but his kicks seemed to find Lukas every time.
