I agree with you about Chelsea Dagger, but it's interesting to note that Robins is so hands-on to even look at the music we walk out to. That can only be a good sign.

Anything by the enemy (mentioned on another post) please! Don't want to encourage their lead singers arrogance!

Ghost Town is a great song, with a class intro. Would be happy with that blasting out.

We're after uplifting, though.

The only issue with othe Specials songs mentioned is that they're production wouldn't carry in The Ricoh. You'd probably need them to re-record them.

Aparently we're after something upbeat and I'm afraid up beat music isn't my forte! I thought Mr Blue Sky was quite an up beat song anyway!

My only suggestion is reverting back to Led Zep... That was awesome! Or the Rage rip off!

Lets get a 'Roy G Biv Mix' of something...

Would lift the stadium lid with some excitment. A classic so every generation relates to it. There's plenty of his stuff on you tube if anyone wants to take a look...

If someone could work on it to loop the intro, would be uplifting to me and unique as it has it's roots here. Need some pride back in Cov and surely some creative fans can work a song to some part of the tune?

Haha! Hence why no submission!!

I like the idea of working it into something unique! It would be uplifting to most of us, including me as I do love The Specials and ska in general, but I think he means that he wants something to get the players pumped. A rich kid from Hammersmith isn't gonna give a monkeys about a band from the 80s who's genres last major revival was in 90s America!

Love The Specials but as none of them support City would hate it if any of their songs were played...got to be an Enemy song or Love and Pride if we're going to go down a Cov supporters route.

Or the Club could support the wealth of musical talant we have right in our own City right now and commission a fan submitted competition!

Chelsea Dagger is not good, for a start got bloody different teams name in the title! I liked it when we came out to Kashmir by Led Zeppelin, but should be Cov related. Crash by Primitives would be apt!

The Enemy would be the best option, what do people think about 'Saturday' by The Enemy? Feel like a penned footy tune 2 me.

I'd rather they play the death march than The Enemy.

Got to agree, Chelsea Dagger is tedious and totally overused at football grounds.
It just makes us sound like all the other no-mark, also ran, mediocre sides.
Please can it now.

We need some local identity. Specials or The Enemy IMO.
My Mrs reckons 'Enjoy Yourself (it's later than you think)' and I tend to agree.
Upbeat and you can't argue with the sentiment.

If we're talking Coventry connections - something newer, (relatively unknown) but with the right build up and intensity: Sunshine by Shockparade.

Or Starting to Fly by Pint Shot Riot.

I like it as a goal celebration song but not as an entrance song. Mr. Blue Sky sucks so that sh*t needs to go, but keep Chelsea Dagger as a goal song

Perth Glory use Chelsea Dagger as a goal song and nothing else. It's definitely not a march on song

Welcome to the Jungle gets my vote. Played as loud as possible, it could be quite intimidating to visitors, and get our boys fired up
