Hopefully he wouldn't end up like Scott Sinclair.

He will be an instant millionaire, even a multi-millionaire at 21. Tell me you would turn that down. If it should happen playing with the likes of Fabregas, Hazard, De Costa and co would make him better, he will still have his pace and the goals are no smaller so why do you think he would fail when the likes of Kane at Tottenham succeed. Wilson has proved he can do it at the top end of the championship so why not the Premiership.

Wilson can sign for Chelsea at the end of the season. Have a pre contract agreed now. It will make him a very rich man and will also give him instant gravitas. He would be a fool to not sign. As for no chance in the pecking order? There's always Kames example but more importantly he would probably be loaned straight back to Bournemouth or another Prem club. It's a no brainer if true.

Never playing football because he's busy keeping up with Helen Flanagan's intellect?

Isn't this thread pointless?

We all know that sisu were wrong to let Callum and Saint Carl leave.

Bournemouth are on the up and naturally will reject any advances for their star player.

Will Callum be disappointed by this? Of course not he will just forget all about Chelsea and carry on as before.

He can't sign a pre contract I don't think as he has a long term contract at Bournemouth.

If he hasn't got a long term contract, maybe his agent planted the story in the hope that a long term contract will be forthcoming.

Callum Wilson is never a top ten premier league player, let alone a top 4 player.

Patrick Bamford has a superb goalscoring record in what is a fleeting career. He is head and shoulders above Wilson technically as a player, with a similar goal return.

CCFC I wouldn't trust soccerway with stats tbh, not a reliable source as I've come to realise.

Oh and this whole 'Jackson is better than Wilson' rubbish has once again been taken completely out of context.

The basis of the comparison was that Jackson as a footballer, was good enough to replace Wilson in this division, based on his career and from personal experience of watching him play.

To conclude, this Wilson to Chelsea business is 100% bullshit.

Maybe not as much bullshit as anyone saying that Bamford is better than Wilson. And I suppose this certain person can say that what has been said between the two of them was taken out of context when they run out of excuses and crap reasons.

IYO!!!
Funny I was called uneducated for not knowing hardly any of the players were that we brought in this season????

Now I know why I had never heard of them? because they were Shit, and were only good in the opinion of a few posters who had seen them play against us, and to be honest most players look good against our lot.

As for Callum the proof is out there.....

Ignoring the rest of your argument as I've already done it once, my stats were correct and were cross referenced across soccerway, soccerbase and wikipedia for reliability. It was your side kick who quoted incorrect stats.

That is an actual sentence that was typed out earlier this season. Taken out of context?

Wouldn't disagree with this tbh at the time of posting. At the time Wilson had yet to play much (or any?) Championship football. A player who has played at a higher level than both Wilson and Clarke.

Obviously Wilson is currently showing his capabilities at Championship level right now and perhaps my view should be altered.

Took all of three seconds. Come on though fella, you can do it. You are almost there. Admit you were wrong, it won't hurt.

Forgotten this cracker

Why do Cov fans have such an over inflated view of our former players, Wilson good enough for England U21s...laughable really.

Were you laughing when Wilson made his U21 debut?

Does he start ahead of Kane, Ings, Berahino (assuming he goes to the Euros in the summer) and Bamford?

No.

Therefore not good enough for the squad.

Keep these coming though lads it's making a dull train journey slightly more interesting.

Well he made the squad so clearly he was considered good enough for it.

Or could it be that he plays for an unfashionable club?

Players often appear from nowhere and are successful and can become superstars, I remember Kevin Keegan and Ian Rush coming from third division clubs and becoming household names, obviously had ability but also playing with top players helps and getting that break, todays example is Harry Kane, gone from a reserve on probably £2k a week to a premier star on about £50/60k a week in a few months. Has Callum Wilson got the ability for the very top ? who knows, but if he gets the chance to see if he has he has to grab that opportunity with both hands.

I'm not sure if it's good news re the sell on clause. It may just keep SISU staggering on for a little while longer.

How do you know that he didn't become a better player for it, didn't really harm his career, did it?

If it is a non story or not, fair play to Callum for even being linked to a club like Chelsea. At least it shows we can produce good players and if it is true and there is a possibility I'd say to him do it.

People on here saying it will harm his career take a look at Sturridge, he's not doing too bad. How can it harm a young, hungry player, to play and train alongside players like Fabregas, Costa, Oscar, Drogba and Willian, or take shooting practise against keepers like Cech or Courtois. Technically it will make him a better player and if he isn't ready then he will be loaned out to teams like WBA, Stoke or Everton just like Lukaka, so he might end up playing for the clubs that people say he should sign for anyway, but at least he gets a look at what's needed to play at the top and if he turns out to be good enough, then good for him.

Yep agreed. Replacement for Berahino when he leaves Albion in the summer?

100% agree more likely scenario. I know he is always back in Coventry at any given chance to spend time with family etc therefore WBA would mean he could pitch back up Cov (well maybe Kenilworth or Leamington) , play Premier league football and be quids in, happy days for Mr Wilson.

I hate to say it but what about Villa?? The goal scoring department hasn't exactly been their forte this season?

Question is would we forgive him? I wouldn't give a shit to be honest. My lad always tells me that he would never play for Villa or Leicester (he's only 9) and I always say the same thing "you bloody well will if your earning 50k a week and I never have to work again":claping hands:
