Attendance for these games could be ridiculously low. Walsall home forest green awayAnyone know when we're likely to hear which games will be 'home' (I feel like you have to do this every time otherwise someone will be like 'THEY'RE ALL AWAY!') and which will be away? Southampton u21s will obviously be at St Andrews, but wouldn't mind another trip to the New Lawn.

Some might say that’s the case anyway?It's not a bad idea, but because they are competitive games the teams will be worried they'd be overloading the players too early with the intensity and potentially causing injuries. So to avoid that they've then got to start pre-season even earlier and the players barely get a break. Unless they play them like pre-season friendlies in which case you're effectively saying this competition is totally worthless and you may as well get rid of it altogether.
