In my opinion the points system for this competition has to be the most ridiculous concept ever introduced. Anyone else have an opinion ?

It's just a competition they'll use to try out ideas. Sin bin at some point.

It's all very simple, Matesx.

It's 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw and none for a defeat. Whoever wins the penalty shootout in the event of a draw gets an extra 1 point, unless your game is on a Wednesday and the temperature drops below 7 degrees. In that scenario the point is taken back off you and you are given a bouquet of flowers instead. You also get an extra point if everyone in the team has a beard, but then also a point taken back off you again if you make any substitions between the 55th and 58th minute.

Whoever finishes top of the group goes through, as does the bottom side as well, with only the two midtable teams losing out.

Of course if you end up at Wembley, as we did, you also receive shiny new penny framed in cardboard with a 'Well done lads' written on biro on the edge by the Chuckle Brothers.
