The queues are bad enough when it's normal attendence, normal price and it's a bloke getting a round in for 4 people.

It not limited to one pint per person. It's one pint per person per transaction. So, get your pint and then join the back of the queue again.
Or tap your phone to do the transaction, then say oh sorry actually can I have one more...
And of course, if you really don't want to queue 4 times for 4 stella, then just take a 4 pack and sit in Can Corner™

It has been known for somebody with a huge cool box to be providing them from a nearby area for a small price as well.
