Rushworth 8

Some great stops and good awareness / distribution.

MVE 6

Not 100% at the races but always covers back - unless he leaves it to Brau - which no one ever should.

Kitching 7

Played ok. WHY NOT PLAY HIM LWB WHEN JDS OUT?

Thomas 7

Glad he’s back.

Lati 7

Not a lot wrong

KKH 7

Looked ok

Grimes 6

Just a bit off it.

Eccles 6

Ok - does try but sometimes a bit agricultural in his play.

Allen 5

Missed a good chance (should have left it for Sims). Positionally ok and harried and simple passes ok but far too slow and lightweight - sorry. Easily knocked off the ball and despite his little legs going ten to the dozen just doesn’t cover the ground very quickly.

Sims 7

Scored and then mooched about.

Wright 6

Missed a couple of good chances and mooched about.

Subs

Brau 4

AGAIN

That was a very poor performance by this player. There’s always some muppet that wants to defend poor performances - don’t bother - this was a shocker. Out of his depth. Cost us a goal and then showed his ability with a ridiculous air kick. Frank, why no Bidwell or why not push Kitch wide and bring Woolf on? Can’t you see how poor he is? The fans sing about him because some muppets like the song not because we think he’s any good

Rudoni 6

Better.

Brilliant interception / cut out when their player was clean through.

Didn’t really see much more and can’t remember any howlers.

That interception had to be made as it was his poor defending that caused the issue.

Not really sure anyone played well, really.

Grimes and Rushworth were decent, KKH showed some promise in that position, nice finish from Simms.

I'm beginning to lose my patience with Wright; it's a thankless job playing up front for an out-of-form team, especially when out of form yourself, but he's often the worst culprit for poor decision making in a team that's habitually making the wrong decisions. I'm not having that he's lazy, though.

We can't play Brau; he's a liability.

Agreed. But, when he's our most penetrative player up front, there's an issue or 'two'. I want Wright to be our key player, our talisman but he is so sluggish and makes bad decisions; like he's playing via satellite link. In fact, both our recognised strikers are constantly just 'buffering'...

Rushworth 7
Van Ewijk 6
Latibeudiere 6
Thomas 6
Kitching 6 He was involved in some of our best bits but a bit all over the place at times in defence.
Kelser-Hayden 6 one of the more consistent ones before injury.
Grimes 6 but way off his best. Some awful moments today.
Allen 5 worked hard but part of a midfield that struggled.
Eccles 4.5 I'm a big fan off Eccles but thought he was really poor, just looking to get fouls
Simms 7 good goal and yet again really helped out our defence which often gets overlooked
Wright 5 Often chose wrong option and lack of goals seems to be affecting his confidence. Today is the first time I thought that.

Brau 4 Lack of experience showed for the goal. Bad first touch but after that you have to stay on your feet and keep pressure on the attacker. Golden rule of defending, stay on your feet and stay in the game. But you can't hang that performance just on him.
Rudoni 6
Mason-Clark 5 one moment he had he moved needlessly off side as Simms headed it down. For a 26:year old he is very naive.

In a game crying out for width and wingers with so much space there, we leave ours on the bench. That one was on Frank, but we didn't lose and a point on the road.

Lati's pace severely exposed and couple of times but shouldn't have been put in that position. Only really Rushworth, Thomas and Simms come out of that with any credit at all.

Someone needs to have a talk with Mason Clark as he keeps giving silly free kicks away when he just needs to close down the player.

Hes so strong I think players bounce off him and get the decision. Must bench some serious numbers.

You can hang the goal and therefore the result and loss of 2 points on him.

Should be nowhere near the team selection.

Why was he left one on one in defence when we were attacking?

When their player shot for Rushworth to parry, the only player running back into our penalty area was Grimes. After the Rushworth parry their other striker was totally free and had a tap in.
