The hysteria and hypocrisy is astounding.

High school shootings, it’s our 2nd amendment rights and a price worth paying. 1 far right activist, it’s a disgrace, there’s going to be civil war.

And as if Trump gives a fuck. He’s probably delighted as it will keep Epstein out the news. We’re talking about a man who pardoned a mob intent on killing democrats and some republicans including Trump’s own VP after fanning the flames with conspiracy theories. Just last week he cancelled Kamala Harris’ security detail in what leaving her vulnerable to the type of nut jobs he himself emboldens.

Sorry for his family and loved ones but if you preach hatred don’t be surprised if it finds you.

I don't believe violence is ever the answer and the horror that his wife and kids would have witnessed, is truly unimaginable but this is America, is anyone all that shocked? Christ, shooting little kids has become the norm over there (which apparently, he thinks is "worth it" providing he can own a gun). I hope whoever pulled the trigger is caught and punished, it isn't acceptable.

The little I know about Kirk (most of which I've learnt after the incident), the world is probably better off without those types of views. He seems like a backwards thinking, religious nutjob.

What I've taken from some of his clips, apparently:

If his 10 year old daughter was raped, he thinks she should keep the baby.
He thinks being gay is a disease, like alcoholism.
He thinks black people were better off in slavery, as they committed less crime.

He decried the Civil Rights Act of 1965, which outlawed discrimination based on race, religion, colour, sex and national origin, and prohibited segregation.

"I have a very, very radical view on this, but I can defend it, and I've thought about it," Kirk said. "We made a huge mistake when we passed the Civil Rights Act in the 1960s"

"I'm sorry. If I see a Black pilot, I'm going to be like, 'Boy, I hope he's qualified,'" Kirk said during a 2024 podcast episode with fellow rightwing activist Jack Posobeic.

How many children have died in high school shootings Dom?

You’re crying over someone who believed that was acceptable. He’s the sick fuck and therefore so are you. A million Kirk’s are not worth the life of one innocent child murdered in cold blood by the maniacs people like Kirk ensure have the means to carry out those atrocities. Give your head a wobble you muppet.

I do. For innocent children including his and his wife. I don’t have empathy for someone who empowers people to commit high school shooters though and thinks “it’s a price worth paying”. Why would I. Everyone fawning over him are the sick fucks. His life was not worth hundreds of children’s lives. How about you show them some empathy by not fawning over Kirk?

It staggers me that the FBI, not once but twice, claimed that the shooter was in custody only to then have to admit it wasn't the right person. Bloody useless.

I feel sorry for the wife and kids and don’t condone political assassinations he was a grade A c**t and had some very dangerous and harmful views. Two kids were murdered in a school shooting in colorado same day…I think the focus should be on that don’t you? But people are so numb to it and this bloke campaigns for gun rights and wants open carry

the turkey voted for christmas and guess fucking what

The Colorado shooting was pushed down the headlines because of this

To be fair, an assassination is much bigger news. And also, there's been so many school shootings, it's like it's become the norm and certainly expected

This Kirk thing was totally unexpected

I didn't know anything about him, but now seeing his views on stuff, he seems like he was a pretty awful human being. His views on race for a start. Very racist opinions. But you have to debate these things out. You can't just go round shooting people you disagree with.

You have to talk them down and expose them for what they are and not make martyrs out of them

Is this the thread where all the people who spend their day being racist and calling everyone who disagrees with them pedos decide that actually we should be nice to everyone? Decided civility in politics is good now actually?

Sorry if you’re a turbo c**t all day who advocates for oppressive laws on people just for the colour of their skin or sex people will in fact not be sad when you die.

I get why this is an upsetting message for a few on here.

He's been on the run a fucking long time now, must be on the equivalent of at least 4 stars. Suggests alot of planning, some assistance and probably some FBI incompetence? I havent looked exactly wherethis has happened but i'd imagine there being plenty of space somewhere like Utah to stay hidden in too.

I think what we're actually seeing is those who pretend to be on what they think is the ' good' side of politics, again showing their rwal colours of 'be nice to everyone as they politically align with me'.

Fwiw id never heard of him until yesterday, but also from what I've since read, whilst many of his views seem controversial, it appears that he was always open to debate and using words not violence. Appreciate words can be harmful and shouldn't hide behind free speech, but there seems to have been a lot of interaction and even more moderate discussion recently. Im sure you'll now try and drag some out of context quotes to make him even more abhorrent because that's what you do. I don't care, I have no skin in this, just my take as an outsider catching up.
