I can't decide what would be better business, Doyle for £10m or Hughes for £8m, or if spending that much at CB is the right decision regardless.

Yeah I’ve never quite understood the obsession. He’s a good centre back, but there are others out there. Just seems another occasion of ex-players being the only players us fans ever look at.The obsession with Doyle in our fan base is ridiculous, he was good for us 3 years ago in a system that massively covered his weaknesses, he’s not progressed since leaving and he couldn’t nail down a place in a team that finished 13th last season. Hughes would be a better signing IMO.
