That's the way you do it! Need to get Simms up and scoring so we have unsettled Hughes and Hull just before we play them. Master Stroke Dougie boy!

Thats just what I was thinking...if he thinks he's coming here maybe he will take pity on our 'strikers' and give them 20 chances...we may even score 1 of the chances too

Where and how did they ? They just randomly reported we have a £15m warchest?

One of their regular transfer journalists. Also the local hull news are reporting 2 rejected bids today. Enough for you yet?

It’ll be interesting if he hasn’t signed and he’s left out of their squad for Saturday.

One point we’re missing here is about salary.

He’s moved from Wigan to Hull. He’s young. We don’t know what he’s on, but it’ll be a fairly low weekly wage.

Let’s for arguments sake, say he’s on 7.5k

We bump him up to 15k.

That’s still 15k a week less than you’d be in for, for an ex premier league type, a Doyle type, or a high end champ CB in his prime.

That’s 3.1million over 4 years.

Suddenly an 8mill fee looks quite sensible

We don't have any idea of his wages so again pointless argument.

its the principle, not the detail.

It's the exact same model as why buying a Rudoni made more sense than renewing an O'Hare. Cheaper wages in effect pay the fee (or some of it). And you have an asset 1,2,3 years down the line that you can sell on

If you're signed for 8m you're not taking 15k per week from anyone. If you are, sack your agent.

Rudoni fee was somewhere near 5mill in total. 12.5k a week

Some account with 150 followers (therefore no doubt bullshit) reckons we have upped the bid to 11m but Hull holding out for 15m

I do feel like we have tried to get him on the cheap, failed and are now probably looking elsewhere.. could be wrong but the numbers they supposedly want are ridiculous for a player who has played 27 Champ games

Well I'd heard 3.25m rising to 5 and 18k pw. Probably both bollocks as it should be.

£12.5k a week for Rudoni would be wild.

You don't make two offers if you're trying to get him on the cheap - there's clearly a deal to be had here and Hull will have entertained this for us to continue with it.

Their manager is either setting himself up to look very silly or he’s not coming

Imagine if discussions are on going, he plays, and has a nightmare!

This place would go into meltdown.

Manager says to player do you want to stay he says yes. Then a day later the owner accepts a high bid. Literally means nothing what is said right now

the manager isn't going say "he wants to leave" especially regarding a player they haven't yet accepted a bid for
