If they went back and purchased the Higgs share for 4 million. Whilst agreeing a long term rent deal at a dirt cheap price.

How much could they then sell the lot to Mr Byng's friends for? (If he was serious)

CCFC (golden share in league one), Academy, Ryton, half of ACL.

Would they get 25-30 million?

Does that include appeals. If that's the case then Simon might get a job for Kerrang!

Is that still going?

When I was young(a long time ago admittedly), used to have a huge choice in music magazines/papers.

Smash Hits for the young girls, then NME, Melody Maker, Record Mirror, Sounds, Kerrang for the Greebos.

Hardly any of them left now.

Wondered when they'd file their accounts.

Noticed last week that they were massively overdue, an outrage apparently.

“The charity has always said that in an ideal world the football club would be the owners of the Ricoh.

“(Joy) Seppala, (Mark) Labovitch and the owners - whoever they are - have said they are not interested in purchasing our shares and she’s not interested in renting. So that doesn’t look likely.

“It is unfortunate they want to continue behaving absurdly.”

Could someone point me in the right direction of a source on how the charity came to own a 50% share in the arena from SISU.

It was from the club, who initially owned 50% of ACL, but sold off the family silver to Higgs for a bit of cash in the best style of tory privatisations.

Lol.
Pretty much condemns any chance of Sisu taking us back to the Ricoh !!

Kerrang still going and not so much Grebo now. Of of my daughters reads it and it's still rock (some very heavy or screamo i think it's called) but lots of flashy tattoos on show too which is all the rage at the minute. Eldest daughter used to read NME but too poncy now and a bit pretentious.

Hope Godiva doesn't see this off topic talk.

There is proof here.

"Sisu don't want to buy our share and don't want to rent"

The reason a deal didn't get struck and HOT agreed failed was because sisu didn't really want to purchase the shares. I don't see why the deal didn't happen if they wanted to buy them. It means they fucked about and didn't get them.

They clearly want something for nothing and then sell on. I.e they want the Higgs share for next to nothing and then as another poster said sell on as a package to byng et al as golden share, academy, ryton and player assets such as Wilson and get gone this summer.

Hendgefunds dont do long term and certainly don't when they are losing investors money quicker than a bad curry goes through my digestive system.

A make or break summer in so many way.

The Higgs Charity are not to blame in any way shape or form for our present woes. It was them who bailed the Club out when the Club could not meet
their part of the building costs.

They haven't even added any interest to the original loan and sisu had the cheek to offer £2m.

It wasn't as loan, it was a sale.

Sometimes the value of things can go up, down, or stay the same, whether it's a charity or not that owns it.

More use of semantics, it was never meant to be a long term deal, I rather think if Higgs had any inkling their money would be still in the Arena 10 years on they'd never have got involved.

They put money in and got CCFC out of a hole. They are just asking for their money back and then they can move on. They were prepared to sell at a 1 million loss, so I don't get why people on here are slagging them off. SISU should have sorted this out years ago.

It's not semantics at all. They bought the share from the club.

The fact they should never have got involved in the first place is irrelevant to that.

They got the old board out of a hole very temporarily.

Their choices in doing that should maybe be questioned, but they're the charity not Sisu.

If running Browns which they've taken over doesn't go too well, will we all chip in to make sure that they get their money back?

They tend to go down when the current only logical buyer carries out an act that leads to it getting devalued.

Or is just me that thinks SISU attempt to buy half of ACL

SISU withhold rent
SISU move the anchor tenant out

ACL is now apparently worthless.

However SISU were prepared to make a 2 million pound charitable donation for it.

Would be interesting to see a "market" value. Especially as the council thought 5.5 million was way over priced.

Think we've helped the local charity out to be honest by moving out and should be applauded for it.

Doubled the turnover since we've gone by their own account.

I've just valued my house at £2 million. That's the most expensive house in the street. Its the value though as I did it myself.
