The charity is obliged to persue all possible debts . It didn't cease becoming a debt until the judge ruled this afternoon
Again, retrospect helps us a lot here
Hate to say it but isn't the answer due dilligence? Clearly their own fault.
(By the workings out of most of the sisu haters)
I expected that reply from your twin. His favorite phrase.

No I don't recall you from PR school Nick, you and your comments are very forgettable.

Did Higgs get this wrong, yes. Is it something to relish in, no.
If I'd won that big euro millions jackpot the other week I'd currently be writing them a big fat cheque to cover the amount of the claim and their cost, on top of the big fat cheque I would have already given them in the first place because of the good work they do.
I dare say I'm not alone in that sentiment. I dare say that the queue of people wanting to do the same for sisu will be a lot shorter.

think he must have shat in It.Did Spionkop take Nick's lunchbox and not give it back?

I can understand the bad blood between these two now.
I wasn't aware that the Higgs took donations, never seen a collection box when in Coventry. And I dare say you've never given them a penny in donations and never will.

No, I agree and if sisu were found in the wrong I would have liked them to have to give a donation.
At the time people were saying how it is a waste of charitys money, which is never a good thing.
I hope it doesn't affect the academy though.
Really. Is that the best you can do?
So they are a registered charity and would not expect any donations? I thought you were an educated man James? I give approximately £500 a year to charity and not through a charity box.
Desperate.
http://apps.charitycommission.gov.uk/Accounts/Ends67/0000509367_ac_20110405_e_c.pdfHiggs Accounts said:The trustees do not involve the charity in any fund raising activitles. The income of the charity is obtained from the investments comprising the trust fund.
Well then I guess this statement from their last accounts is wrong or misleading
http://apps.charitycommission.gov.uk/Accounts/Ends67/0000509367_ac_20110405_e_c.pdf
So it sounds like they get their income from the money Alan Higgs left to set the charity up. They might take donations but it certainly doesn't sound like it from that.

But surely it is wasting more money? I am not saying they shouldn't chase debts but if they can spend 100k chasing 10k for example, why bother?
What is wrong with you?
That's a no then. Why not I give hundreds a year to various organisations - Redwings, cwf, the dogs trust to name a few. I am passionate about these charities, I've helped at Redwings and my children have at the dogs trust. I raise funds at work. You seem very passionate about the Higgs trust Tony, what have you personally done to help them?
Fair play to you with the pet thing, I much prefer when things are actually done rather than just handing cash over. Never know where it will end up.
Something that should never have happened.
Absolutely right. We should've gone bust then.
Imagine if we'd gone pop Leicester style when we went down? No -10 points, none of that, just a clean slate.
Fucking Robinson.
