What a joke, charged for that scuffle.

If the ref had done is job properly in the build up there wouldn't have been one.

It was hardly a major fight - a bit of an overreaction.
What was great to see was all our team getting involved back up their team mate......and especially Kasteneer.....much better for a non-playing sub to get booked rather than those on the pitch. It would have been even better if he could have got the Ipswich player sent off!

Absolutely ridiculous. It was a minor scuffle, an absolute nothing. I'd understand it if everyone had been going in throwing punches or the odd elbow, but come on.

Any of the refs get charged in past games for missing blatant hand balls in the box?

Was really incensed by this. There was a clear free kick and the ref decided to just let it go. He was completely to blame for this fracas. I mean like 100% to blame.

I thought if the ref has acted (i.e. given a booking to Kasteneer), then the FA can't undermine the ref by giving further punishment?

Ridiculous.
What was the outcome, 1 yellow for us (Kastaneer) & 1 for them (Edwards)?
Hardly a major incident!

The referee took ages to decide that too & was clearly taking advice through his earpiece.

What would have happened if Kasteneer was shown red?

Would we only be allowed 2 subs or 3 as normal, but obviously Kasteneer can't come on?

I was wondering this at the time. Can only imagine we would still have 3 subs. I was surprised McCallum escaped a booking but it seems the referee couldn’t identify who he was. He called Shipley over at one stage. I think the 4th official was dictating.

I thought Darren had a decent game, bar this. Relied too heavily on the forth official, who in fairness was close to it and should have been involved, but also the lino our side which was weird given he was almost in the stand with us and couldnt have been further away. Was almost like he had the final say on things? Was quite vocal throughout the game in fairness for a lino! With the bad head I was the owner of I did consider asking him to shut up :emoji_laughing:

punishing both teams for that handbags must set a precedent! A shit one at that, as it was nothing!

I guess we'd be able to make the same number of subs, just have one less player on the bench.

Didn't Tim Flowers once get sent off playing against us while he was on the bench for Blackburn? I'm sure I remember it being on one of those season review videos the club did.
