There has been a lot of talk of replacing either Westbrooke or Shipley with O'Hare for the next game. Completely understand this, as he's been an exciting player so far and looks a class act. My question is though: with the team unbeaten in the league, does anyone deserve to loose their place?

O’Hare is a class above Westbrooke and Shipley.

I would normally agree don’t change a winning team... o’hare is an exception! He is too good not to start.

Wow, just to have a thread like this shows what a good squad we have this season.

But yes, Play your best players, O’hara has to start when fully fit

I think you should set up the team for the team you are facing. But also keep a winning team. So basically fuck knows.

As long as Walsh keeps doing this as in the Blackpool game, above - we'll be fine.

Edit: the pitch is beginning to cut up a bit worse than I remembered from Saturday

If O Hare comes in, it would have to be for Westbrooke, take Shipley out and we would lose a lot of energy in the middle of the park.

You'd gain energy by having O'Hare over either of those two. I will say though that O'Hare is coming on and playing against teams that have chased the ball most of the game, so that obviously helps him and Kastaneer look electric. Starting will be different however.

I’d play O’Hare in place of Hiwula.
Although saying that Hiwula had a better game than usual against Blackpool, so maybe the competition for places is hotting up.

We changed a winning team on Saturday, we have a winning squad, players will come in and drop out through the season. O'Hare deserves to start but I'm not sure he will with both Kelly and Allen injured.

I’d also say, Shipley’s played 71 games for us. O’Hare 23 across three clubs. Walsh 34. Westbrooke 22. So you lose a lot of experience dropping Shipley when Allen and Kelly aren’t available.

If Pep at Man City decided not to change a winning team then he would not have the glorious record he has. Of course you change the team as you see fit. Shipley has been OK so far and Westbrooke less so tbf. You have an eye for building your team into a strong proposition as the season progresses. You don't wait for defeat and use players as scapegoats. So yes change the team and strengthen it as you see fit. O'Hare must start for this reason. Walsh too. Allen may also get the call but from the bench first I feel. Westbrooke, Shipley must be the players at risk of their places. Robins must be strong and authoritive in his decision making.

Allen came off after 7 minutes of the U23 game. Felt tightness in his hip.

Robins tends to be quite conservative in his team selections, so I suspect he will stick with Westbrooke and Shipley for the moment. If O'Hare were to start I would prefer if he keeps Shipley in ahead of Westbrooke, as he provides a better balance to the team on that left hand side together with Hiwula and McCallum/ Mason.

Robins said after the Blackpool game that O'Hare hasn't had a proper pre-season, and needs to be introduced gradually.

O’Hare is the one player in this squad with Premier League potential. Therefore I would start him whenever possible. Yes Robins is right to manage young players carefully and should not rush a player back from injury etc(Kelly, Mason, Allen) but now O’Hare has settled, has got up to speed with match fitness he is s a starter in the League for me.
