I'm sure most Cov fans would hope for an alternative but like you say, sadly there is not, my view though is that there isn't an alternative because of sisu.

Weather true or not, that is definitely how i see it Torchy.

personally, I don't think there are SISU lovers or haters. It depends on whether you want them to leave regardless of whether there is a credible alternative or not. At present that alternative is adminstration or liquidation.

a credible alternative will be one that is more or less finalised when we find out about it. Hoffman's bid was a shambles from the start.

Me? I'm grateful to SISU for keeping us afloat. At the end of the day, for whatever reason, they pay our bills.

Most of us hope that someone comes in and sisu do one asap.I hope there is protests later on in the ground, just so the board and sisu still get it that we really dont like them.Looks like were stuck with the tossers for now.

Come on lads, if were not careful all sky will be filming is our own fans fighting each other in the ground :slap:.
This is a very emotional subject for some but getting into a slanging match is not going to solve things and will just lead to divided support throughout the club and onto this forum.
Knew we should have a shake hands smily on here.

Swear words don't equal 'passion'. Your problem is that unless someone throws that 'SISU OUT' smiley into every post you blindly scream at them for being SISU lovers regardless of context or any point they are making that you wilfully ignore and/or miss. Rather than a forum where words need to be read and understood, you'd be better off at a monkey enclosure where you can throw your shit at everything and you'll get a lovely tea party out of it.

I've never backed SISU in any shape or form, unlike some of the most vociferous anti-SISU people on here, who now want to give the same unqualified support to Hoffman, and kindly Uncle Joe.

I've certainly never wanted us to lose to prove a point.

So I am a prick now? Lets have a look at the truth and work it out.

We were saved from admin. We would have been in Div 1 or lower. SISU's fault?

We do not own our own ground. SISU's fault?

Just before SISU took over we were heavily in debt. SISU's fault?

Just before SISU took over we had a team of overated, valueless overpaid players. SISU's fault?

Takeover bid with people unable to do takeover or insu+f6ficient funds. SISU's fault?

A fan or two that thinks that if we get rid of SISU then all our problems will go away. SISU's fault?

It is going to get dark tonight just as it did last night. SISU's fault?

Most of the SISU out fans realise that there is no alternative at the moment. There are a couple that still need to take a reality check. When they get stuck in a corner because their ideas get proved to be unreralistic they call others pricks. Top people I say

My point is what can we realistically have other than them? The only realistic thing at the moment it admin. If I was to choose between SISU and admin then SISU win hands down. When there is a proper choice then I will take it

This is my first post on the forum but been watching it for sometime waiting to see how people will react to the closure of the transfer window.

I have never been a fan of sisu and never belived they had the good of the club at their hardened hearts. When ever you said anything bad about them on 606 myself and others ie valiant would get slated for being negative and not true sky blue fans, but we have been proven right as we watch our club go further and further down (and no i'm not gloating I would have loved to be wrong and see our club doing the business)

Since they took over they have told us EVERY season 1) we are going to buy top players (we end up selling any player that they can flog and bring in a striker who is unproven at this level) 2) We are going to buy 50% in the ground (and we own 0%) 3) We
will bring in top quality loan players(Premier level) we have had ONE and how long did he last)
Sorry folks but I will never believe anything these people say until it is comfirmed.

I can not believe that the fans are being suckered yet again by these asset strippers. I garentee that we will bring no one in but if we do he will be a 1st or 2nd divisions class.

So we sold one player in the closed season until the closing of the transfer window.

Not got time to debate at the moment.
http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/11347-Asset-stripping

take a look and see what you don't agree with. Will reply truthfully as soon as I can, hopefully after celebrating a win. BTW yes our loan did not last long last season. Should we have kept an injured player?

But it wasn't them or oblivion because they was an other interested party,

If sisu got the club for nothing then they shouldn't be up in arms when they get offered nothing for it, of course there is an argument there.

How it can be ok for others to lose money for sisu to take control but then sisu not do the same is just double standards.

Sorry gaz have got to disagree

Check the history and reports at the time. The other bid involved Geoffery Robinson and was not acceptable to the other major creditors or the council - there two groups interested one of which was not acceptable. So it was SISU or nothing

Dont think SISU were up in arms about the details of the offer they simply said it was not good enough - no real surprise. All the aggro between the two parties was over leaks, format and further info.

It isnt about the morals of the situation it is about whether a current deal can be done - what happened in the past is irrelevant the only thing that matters is the deal today. What SISU paid has nothing to do with it - so it is an non arguement. Would you expect GH to pay over the odds because say SISU did in 2007 - no of course you wouldnt. When you buy a house do you ask what the owner paid for it originally and set the price on that - no because the finance and sale is based on the current value and acceptable offer.

Oldskyblue, but it's not a house, it's a business that is making a loss so of course it matters what Sisu paid for it.
There is always every argument for it.

If Sisu got it for bugger all then, they shouldn't be moaning if that's all there offered for it.

If they got offered the £30m back that they have put in to the club then I'm sure they would take it and run.
But it's not worth that so they have to realistic.
If they don't have the money to run a football club then they should let someone who does.

They arent moaning they said no, and we remain stuck with them - not what i want but thats the facts. The fact that the business is making a loss affects the current value what they paid for it originally doesnt.

The £30m are loans and are repayable not as such for sale. Until someone makes an offer that is anything like SISU's expectations for settlement then they dont have to do anything. Their strategy is to cut costs to rely on the team over performing and that they can sell players currently valued at £nil in our accounts for big money (eg Birigamana). There is no one waiting in the wings with a pot of money and an offer suitable for SISU. I warned people back in early 2008 that this was a different breed of investor quite willing to be hard nose and go their own way no matter what the fans wanted, They are not going any time soon and if the team starts winning and maintains a mid table position we are going to have a long wait for them to go. Quite clearly they dont give a damn about what the fans think

Right now - given there is no one willing to make a bid they might accept - we are stuck with them. The only way they go soon is that we get promoted or go into administration - one option is unlikely and the other suits no one.

Sadly that is the reality and the reality has and will have nothing to do with what SISU investors paid for the shares in the SBS&L group
