A wonderful spin-off of the Grand Charity game CCFPA took a major part in organising earlier this month is announced this morning. One of our supporters on August 11th, Crown Paints, were generous enough to sponsor the kit of the opponents of the CCFPA Sky Blue Legends team that day. The Midland All-Stars XI (above) captained and managed that day by Mel Eves wore a fetching red strip which was worn by the veteran team from the rest of the region plus guests, National Hunt Jockeys, Charlie Poste (pictured below right with legends guest Graeme Hawley) and Jodie Mumford. In a magnificent further gesture by Crown the full kit worn on the day by the Legends team’s opponents (15 outfield players plus the goalkeeper) are about to be offered to a suitable local league adult amateur team by Crown as a means of supporting soccer in the Coventry locality.
If you are a Club Secretary/Manager of a local amateur league team who would be able to make use of the shirts, shorts and socks and would like to be entered into a competition for this full set of playing kit please send the following details to CCFPA

Will they be washed? I'd pay extra for a bit of Hawley's sweat! :D

Someone will be looking for a DNA sample next to try and clone Darren
