Isn't it more like somebody who was taken from our net by a bigger and better academy? From our academy. Another one who slipped through the net

The cum fest over Birmingham makes me laugh. They have looked shite.
Never looked like scoring.
Nothing I have seen makes them top 3 contenders. Not an amazing squad.
Spot on. £2m for O'Hare is absolute peanuts.
Precisely them bluenose idiots think they will be playing champions league football soonCongratulations LeicesterFrom a Coventry fan
lovelyOf course it's the player who should have been sent off who scores the winner.
or as they say in Le*cester, a handful of pegs
All I get from them is they’ve signed this player they signed that player…in my opinion they’ve been pretty average so far albeit only 4 games in!I argue daily with the blues fans I work with that they don’t score enough or create enough to be a top top team in the league
Their press is good but to do it for 46 games is just never going to happen
Not sure if Hammer and Char play in the championship
If you think we’re reactionary as a fanbase, the comments under this are something else.
What a set of entitled bellends. Said it before, but they’ve become insufferable since their new owners came in.
So would you rather have Allen/Rapha or O'Hare on the bench as your back up attacking midfield player? Who would give us the best chance of promotion?Good question and not sure on that answer but I guess I'd rather us put £2m into a new CB, LB or ST when we've got relatively decent coverage in midfield.

They were never going to be anything else at the start of the season. All I get from them is they’ve signed this player they signed that player…in my opinion they’ve been pretty average so far albeit only 4 games in!
While I’d generally agree, there are outliers, most recent being Ipswich. McKenna didn’t have experience at this level and they brought in 6-7 players in the summer to be in or around the first team. Main difference with them and Blues is they were generally quite shrewd with their business. Birmingham have this attitude of big money = success, but it doesn’t always work like that. Not saying they won’t pick up over the season, it’s too soon to tell properly, but I’ve watched 2 of their games now and haven’t been particularly impressed with them. They were never going to be anything else at the start of the season.
Other than having a squad of players clearly better than their rivals the two things that get you promoted from the Championship are a manager with experience of the Championship and players that have been together for at least a season. Birmingham have neither. They have spent a lot of money on players that haven't got a clue on how each other play and a manager without the experience needed.
This is why I have said we have a massive chance of promotion this season. Other than Rushworth (a big upgrade on those available) our squad have been together and know how each other play. We have an experienced Championship manager who has played at the very top level in world football. He has brought in a very good coaching team. Our GD is better than the goals scored by every club except for Stoke who are top with 3 wins (the same on 8).
I gave my reasoning on why clubs like Birmingham, Southampton, Sheffield United and others wouldn't run away with it at the start of the season and got a lot of stick for it. It mainly came down to 3 reasons. A manager without Championship experience, those in financial difficulties and a side that vastly changes their squad and a lot of the time with players not properly replacing those that left. While I’d generally agree, there are outliers, most recent being Ipswich. Their fans talk so much waffle online that everyone just fell into the hype. The cum fest over Birmingham makes me laugh. They have looked shite.

A 30 year old who spent his whole career in J League and SPL who got turfed out of his club in double quick time after finally moving to a decent league.
If only he had Chuba Akpom by his sideA 30 year old who spent his whole career in J League and SPL who got turfed out of his club in double quick time after finally moving to a decent league.
Never got the hype, but again their fans had everyone believing Messi was incoming.
I mean we were shit for months at the start and ended 5th, it means little. Always helps to have the points already in the bag though.I thought blues and Leicester looked poor tbh. That Leicester team won't be up there either. Depth on their bench looks weak and I thought neither Leicester or Birmingham looked to have much in the centre of the park.
